Gen V Orientation Video Teases New Setting For The Boys Spinoff

An orientation video for Godolkin University teases the new college setting for The Boys spinoff Gen V. The series follows a student named Maria, a blood bender who competes in battle royal events with her fellow students. However, Maria and her friends soon learn Vought is conducting secretive tests in the woods around the university, leading to a blood-soaked conflict.

Now, Vought International has released an in-universe orientation video for Godolkin University within the world of Gen V.

The video sees Clancy Brown and Shelly Conn step into their roles as Rich Brink and Superintendent Indira Shetty respectively, highlighting the acting and crime fighting schools at Godolkin. The end of the trailer advertises a website, godolkinuniversity.com, where fans can create student IDs for either of the university’s schools.

Everything We Know About Gen V

Gen V Orientation Video Teases New Setting For The Boys Spinoff

While Godolkin has a friendly exterior, The Boys spinoff will be exploring the university’s seedy underbelly that involves experiments on students. The Gen V trailer established Vought as the force behind these tests, pitting Maria and her friends against the company. While gory action has been teased already, there’s sure to be even more than what’s been shown in promotional material.

Alongside its own story, Gen V will set up The Boys season 4, as the spinoff will be taking place concurrently with the upcoming season. Since characters like Ashley Barrett and Victoria Neuman will appear in the spinoff, it makes sense some aspects of The Boys‘ next season will also be teased. However, it remains to be seen just how much the plot of season 4 will impact the spinoff’s story, if they will have a major connection at all.

Regardless of how strong a connection both shows will have, the new series serves as a much different take on The Boys universe. It’s possible Gen V will be the first of many series that expand the franchise beyond Hughie and Butcher’s conflict with Homelander. Plenty of new information about the spinoff will come to light before it premieres on Prime Video on September 29.
