Garcelle Beauvais shared some of the difficult aspects of filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Garcelle has been a cast member on RHOBH since season 10, which aired in 2020. Currently, she is filming the upcoming season 12, which has already sparked buzz due to the reported drama that went down during their cast trip to Aspen, in addition to Erika Jayne’s ongoing legal issues.
Since she stepped onto the reality TV scene, Garcelle has become a fan-favorite. During her time on RHOBH, she has shared many intimate details about her life, including her scandalous divorce and her first child’s battle with addiction. She has also established herself as a force to be reckoned with after confrontations with RHOBH mainstays including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, and most recently, Erika Jayne. For reasons that will most likely be addressed in the upcoming season, Garcelle and Erika had a falling out. Recently, Garcelle and fellow cast member Sutton Stracke made headlines after unfollowing Erika.
During a recent interview with Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover for Access Daily, Garcelle revealed that filming the hit reality show is not always a walk in the park. “It’s fun, but it’s also challenging. It has stretched me in so many ways,” she shared, pointing out that even though filming RHOBH is taxing, it has also made her grow. Regarding the toughest part of filming, Garcelle highlighted the explosive confrontations between the women. “I think it’s when we come at each other. That’s the hardest part. ‘Cause we could be kiki-ing, having a great time, drinks. Then, next thing you know somebody just threw you under the bus.” Garcelle, whose filmography includes high-profile roles on The Jamie Foxx Show and NYPD Blue, also acknowledged the exposure that RHOBH has provided her. “I have done some incredible things in my life, worked with some incredible people here and there, right? I have never gotten more attention than doing this show. It’s unbelievable,” she said of the show’s popularity.
Currently, the Haitian-born multi-hyphenate is filming the upcoming twelfth season of RHOBH. The highly anticipated season of the reality show has yet to be announced, although there have been multiple reports surrounding the explosive drama that is to come, including Lisa Rinna shading Kathy Hilton. In addition to maintaining her co-hosting duties on The Real, alongside Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai, Garcelle is also in the middle of promoting her upcoming Lifetime movie Caught In His Web, in which she plays a detective investigating a cyber bullying case. To top it off, she also has an upcoming memoir titled Love Me As I Am.
While Garcelle’s successful and dynamic career in the entertainment industry might appear to be purely glitz and glamour, she is honest when it comes to the challenging aspects. Garcelle juggles her career as an actress, reality star, and TV host, in addition to being a fabulously dressed mother and grandmother. Clearly, she is the whole package.
