The spread of COVID-19 is showing no signs of slowing down in the United States, and unfortunately, that wildfire seems to be spreading to a few other industries as well; comics, collectibles, cosplay, and conventions. Sadly, the spread of the virus has taken a huge hit on the comic industry on all fronts, with comic conventions suffering from cancellations around the globe.
Without these conventions, large collectible companies are left without an exclusive place to unveil and release their new items. However, this doesn’t seem to be slowing down the Funko train, with a slew of new announcements coming almost weekly. Funko is back with another fantastic Pop! vinyl reveal, announcing an absolutely stellar looking Infamous Iron Man Funko Pop! as part of their PX Halloween ComicFest 2020 exclusives.
For those that are unaware, Infamous Iron Man is a comic mini series that follows Doctor Doom as he takes on the role of Iron Man. Beginning in October 2016, the comics show Victor Von Doom in his search for redemption following the events of Civil War II. After saving Maria Hill, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Doom visits Tony Stark’s lab, and decides to adopt the persona of Iron Man for himself. Yes, the idea of one of Marvel’s greatest villains taking on the role of one of Marvel’s greatest heroes is as cool as it sounds, and the comic does not fail to deliver. The twelve issue mini series was written by comic legend Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Alex Maleev.

The Infamous Iron Man PX Halloween ComicFest 2020 Exclusive Funko Pop! is available for pre-order now on Entertainment Earth. The figure features a unique pose, answering the complaint that many Pop! figures simply look too similar, and adds an extra nice touch of featuring glow in the dark eyes, repulsors, and reactor to really drive the piece home. There are two options available for preorder, with the standard pop running for $13.99 and the edition that includes the Avengers #35 Variant Comic running for $19.99.
