Friends: 10 Most Annoying Things Joey Ever Did

Friends: 10 Most Annoying Things Joey Ever Did

Joey is the cutest out of the six friends. He’s Italian, muscular… but a philanderer. Joey is gullible, too. The last two qualities make him hard to stand. Therefore, Joey commits a few annoying acts throughout the show. The word ‘annoying’ may not define spending the night with women and never calling them again, but it surely defines blaming them for it years later.

Joey may have been the best friend to his mates, but he sure bugged the life out of them and others too. Here are ten instances for when Joey crossed the line on Friends.

Bijan For Men

Friends: 10 Most Annoying Things Joey Ever Did

It’s hard to imagine how a salesman could run after a customer for a quick spray of Bijan for Men cologne. A fact hard to fathom, and an annoying sight to behold!

In “The One With The Breast Milk,” Joey is outcompeted by the Ombre guy. So, when nothing right happens, he runs after a customer in the store. The man appears least interested in trying Bijan for Men. But Joey doesn’t give up so easily.

You Have Some Nerve Coming Here

What could kill Monica and Chandler’s wholesome building vibe? Joey Tribbiani, obviously. In “The One With The Home Study,” an adoption social worker is due to visit Monica and Chandler. Her visit is critical, she gets to decide whether or not Monica and Chandler get a baby.

The adoption lady’s name is Laura. She coincidentally went on a date with Joey once. They had a great night, Joey promised he’d call her the next morning. But he never called. When the two finally confront each other in the episode, Joey pretends it was Laura who didn’t call him, saying he wasn’t some kind of social work that she’d forget. It was annoying to see poor Laura embarrassed.

His French Is Annoying

Phoebe tries to teach Joey French in Friends

Joey’s french wasn’t flying. By any means, him speaking french didn’t sound like a professional trying to get hold of the language. There was an entire annoying episode dedicated to Joey’s french. In “The One Where Joey Speaks French,” Joey’s inability to learn the language makes Phoebe almost put her head through a wall.

For “Je m’appelle Claude,” Joey says “Je de coup Clow.” Which somehow becomes “Je depli mblue” in the next line. Joey nevertheless thinks he’s speaking french and doing a good job of it. How so? The guy on the pre-recorded tape said so.

Eating Food Out Of Someone’s Fridge

A grown man mooching off of his neighbors is plain annoying. A grown man eating out of his neighbors fridge on a daily is theft. But that doesn’t stop Joey. Monica and Chandler say they are troubled by it, but it’s alright for Joey to do so. But, let’s look back at the turn of events. When Chandler quits his job, as an attempt to cut household costs, he suggests they could eat out of Joey’s fridge for some time. Not cool Joey, to have your best friends take care of your daily nutrition.

Acted Annoyed At Ross’ Wedding

Joey got really homesick in London while attending Ross’s wedding. He quickly transitioned from “London Baby!” to “Everything’s different here… I want to go home. I… I miss my family. I miss the coffee house. I can’t even remember what Phoebe looks like.”

Even though Joey buys the hat, meets Fergie, and climbs into a map. He misses New York, chick and the duck and the Joey special by the end of the day. Joey throws one after another tantrum. He kills the fun out of the rehearsal dinner, by calling Chandler mean.

Never Interviewed A Grown Woman For His Apartment

Some of the things that Joey does are far beyond annoying. One amongst them is never interviewing Janine for his apartment. Janine comes over to check Joey’s apartment in “The One Where Phoebe Runs.” In place of interviewing her credentials, Joey asks her when she can move in.

Looks like Joey didn’t learn anything from the mugging episode, after all. Janine wasn’t interviewed because she was shown to be a hot, Australian dancer. Seriously, how stereotypical could Joey get?

Ah, Shrimp Toast!

Rachel takes Joey to her boss’ charity event for underprivileged kids. The more people she brought, the better she looked. Monica, Chandler, and Ross couldn’t come, but Phoebe and Joey did. Joey for his part boasts he’s making money now; it’s about time he gave something back.

Joey embarrasses Rachel in front of Mr. Thompson. As soon as she seeks to introduce him to her boss, he shouts, “Ah, Shrimp toast!” Joey walks right past them for shrimp toast.

Chandler’s Money And A Room In His House

If one were to do the math of how much Joey owed Chandler, it would amount to thousands of dollars. Joey never returned Chandler’s money. When Chandler pressed in the question a couple of times, Joey replied by saying, “Okay, have a benefit.”

Not only did Joey take Chandler’s money and food. When Mondler moved into Westchester, Joey acted all wonky about the idea. Chandler and Monica gave him his own joey-room. Biggest commitment Chandler had to make!

Set Phoebe Up With A Complete Stranger

Joey humiliated Phoebe by setting her up with a complete stranger in “The One With The Pediatrician.” Joey completely forgot he’d to set Phoebe up with someone he knew, so he shouted for the first Mike at Central Perk. Coincidentally, Mike Hannigan seated at Central Perk agreed to come to the date.

As soon as Phoebe found out, she stormed out. It was a breach of trust. For all we knew, Mike could have been an ax murderer.

Couldn’t Remember Days Of The Week

Joey’s peculiar way to remember days of the week is nothing but annoying. It goes something like: “All right, Monday, one-day, Tuesday, two-day, Wednesday, when? huh? what day? Thursday! The third day, okay.”

In “The One Where Ross Dates A Student,” Joey seeks Chandler’s help for remembering the date of his audition. It is the last day of the audition, and he had to get in there by Thursday. So, he presents his little limerick about days of the week. Shame, Joey, shame.
