Paramount+ reveals new Frasier reboot details, teasing a big showdown between Lilith and Frasier. After being stuck in production limbo for so long, the Frasier revival is finally moving forward with production currently ongoing. More information about the show is being released, including the confirmation of some special guests.
As recently confirmed, Lilith will feature in the Paramount+ revival. Subsequently, however, more information about her role has been released via Deadline, including a tease of a classic showdown between Frasier and Lilith in the Frasier revival. Read the full outing synopsis below:
“When they reunite at Freddy’s birthday party, Lilith (Neuwirth), in classic form, is far from pleased about having to share Freddy (Cutmore-Scott) now that Frasier (Grammer) is back living in Boston. What begins as a fun party with friends and family, inevitably becomes a Lilith-and-Frasier showdown for the ages.”
Can Frasier and Lilith Still Get Back Together In The Reboot?
Both characters were introduced in Cheers as adversaries-turned-lovers. Boston was also the primary setting for their love affair, which included getting married and having Freddy. Sadly, it was also where their marriage break down after Lilith cheated on Frasier. The split was partly the reason for his decision to move back to Seattle. It has been decades since they were last seen on the screen together, so chances are that many things have happened between them, but it seems like their bickering dynamic will continue in the revival.
Since the Paramount+ reboot will explore Frasier and Freddy’s relationship, it makes sense that Lilith will be involved in the story. While the official synopsis for her episode teases another classic battle between the former couple, it raises possibilities that they can rekindle their romance down the road. With Frasier back in Boston, it would be easier for them to get together once in a while. Despite their challenges, Lilith and Frasier have proven time and again that they deeply care for each other.
It’s unclear if Lilith will have multiple appearances in the Frasier reboot. During the original show, she visited Seattle several times, while the Cranes traveled back to Boston once for Thanksgiving. Aside from her, however, there are questions about whether other original Frasier characters will be back for the reboot. While none of them have signed on to be series regulars, Kelsey Grammer has confirmed that some of them will pop by for a cameo.
