Stranger Things has gotten a quick filming update following the end of the actors strike, indicating production could start very soon. SAG-AFTRA’s tentative agreement with AMPTP studios means Hollywood TV shows and movies can resume filming. This includes the popular Netflix original, whose final season is currently in production.
Now, Deadline reports Stranger Things season 5 is expected to begin filming the show’s final episodes in just a few weeks. The series was originally supposed to begin filming prior to the WGA writers strike, with production being pushed back as labor disputes in Hollywood grew. Now that both strikes are over, filming for the final season can begin.
