Discovering where to find an Ice Machine in Fortnite season 8 can be difficult. The Fortnite map continues to introduce minor changes all over the map as the season progresses, what was once there might not be there any longer. In this case, a new NPC known as Big Mouth has been added to the map. This is one of the new Character Quest NPCs that players can interact with for more challenges. Completing these Character Quests is easily one of the fastest ways to level up in season 8 due to how much XP is rewarded to the player.
In the case of Big Mouth, all of his challenges will reward players with 30,000 XP towards the Battle Pass. Before players can start this quest, they will need to locate Big Mouth, and complete the challenges that come first. This is the full list of Big Mouth’s quests.
- Open two chests in Steel Farm: 30K XP.
- Search an ice machine: 30K XP.
- Open two ammo boxes at Dirty Docks: 30K XP.
- Buy a health item from a Mending Machine: 30K XP.
- Search a supply drop: 30K XP.
Players will be able to find Big Mouth inside of the pizza parlor to the north of Corny Crops. Speak with him and open two chests in Steel Farm to unlock his second challenge. Players will now need to find an Ice Machine on the map. This is where they are located.
Ice Machine Locations in Fortnite Season 8
This map with the Ice Machine locations is created by fortnite.gg. Fortunately, finding an Ice Machine is fairly simple in season 8 due to how common they are. The best place to land will be Believer Beach since it has the chance to drop 6 different Ice Machines. Players will know if it’s them by noticing a large gray box, typically one that would sit outside of a supermarket or a shop. Players can also land in Weeping Woods to find 4 potential spawn locations.
If Fortnite players look inside, they have the chance to find different types of consumable fish, which is required for a Toona Fish quest. Just open one of them and the challenge will be completed. Players will be given 30k XP for their Battle Pass and will unlock the third challenge to come from Big Mouth. Players should aim to complete all of Big Mouth’s Character Quests to complete it from their Quest tab. More NPCs will be joining the roster as the season progresses. Players should stay on top of these Character Quests to avoid falling behind this season.
