Flip or Flop’s Christina Haack’s ex, Ant Anstead, is reportedly dating Academy Award-winning actress, Renee Zellweger. Nothing says Grade-A rebound than a budding romance with an internationally acclaimed thespian.
Renee and Ant, who hosted Wheeler Dealers, met earlier this month after they filmed Ant’s new Discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU: Joyride. The show is a spin-off of the Property Brothers HGTV show, Celebrity IOU. The premise of the spin-off features Ant and show co-host, Cristy Lee, helping celebrities transform a special car for a loved one. After completing the episode, Ant and Renee got to know one another better, by hanging out together.
Last week, Ant and Christina’s divorce was finalized, according to E! Online. The couple married in December 2018 and separated in September 2020. Each of them was married before and each has two children from their first marriages. During Ant and Christina’s brief marriage, the couple gave birth to son, Hudson. Now, Ant and Christina are privately deciding how to divide their properties and assets. Moreover, neither one of them is requesting financial support. After he and Christina sold their former marital home, Ant purchased a new one in Laguna Beach. Ant credits his faith for helping him count his blessings. “Hudson is such a blessing and he’s really changed my outlook on everything because ultimately, people move on and you find your happiness, and I’ve used faith to do that quickly,” he said. Like Ant, Renee has experienced heartbreak from a short-term marriage. In 2015, she married country singer Kenny Chesney. The two of them dated less than five months and got married in the Virgin Islands. Four months later, however, Renee filed for divorce. Renee, whose previous dating history includes Bradley Cooper and musician Jack White, dated musician Doyle Bramhall II, from 2012 to 2019.
The confirmation that Renee and Ant are dating comes nine months after he and Christina broke up. Ant was so blindsided by Christina’s sudden decision to end their marriage that he participated in a five-week breakup recovery program as part of his healing process. The program, which is called “Create The Love,” features strategies that help people mend their broken hearts. The program includes retreats, coaching, courses, and a podcast. He also leaned into his faith through spiritual healing that featured a three-day transformation journey called “Rise Up Kings.” Now that her first husband, Tarek, is engaged to be married, and her second husband has found romance with a famous actress, Christina might be inspired to analyze her choices and motivations in the romance department.
