There are a number of reasons why this movie has quickly become popular, but high up the list is Blumhouse and Universal Pictures making sure the movie appeals to the younger audience of the video game franchise. The movie is rated PG-13 and as such is accessible for a wider audience.
Another reason why Five Nights At Freddy’s has been successful is that it benefited from a Halloween release. The movie was released on October 27, just a few days before Halloween and because of the spirit of the season, many moviegoers are in the mood to see a spooky movie just like this one.
