Five Nights At Freddy’s Box Office Hits Major Milestone Worldwide (Only 2nd 2023 Horror Movie To Do So)

The Five Nights at Freddy’s is still achieving box office milestones, thanks to some overseas support. Based on the popular video game series by Scott Cawthon, the movie follows security guard Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) as he begins his career at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. With deadly animatronics surrounding him, Schmidt struggles to survive to escape in the morning.

While the domestic viewership has stagnated with only $64 million across every box office movie this weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Five Nights at Freddy‘s is still succeeding worldwide. Because domestic viewers are watching Five Nights on Peacock, Five Nights just passed its $200 million mark largely thanks to those international viewers. It has become only the second horror movie of 2023 to secure the honor after The Nun II brought in $265.9 million. Five Nights is currently sitting at $217.1 million and is poised to earn more.
