Hulu’s romantic comedy Fire Island stars a fantastic list of comedians and actors – here’s everyone in the cast of characters. Posited as a modern-day riff on Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice, the film follows a group of friends as they head to New York’s storied Fire Island, a historic vacation spot for the LGBTQ+ community. When they arrive, they found out that their friend Erin, who they’ve stayed with every year, will have to sell her house and that it could be their last year together on Fire Island.
Meanwhile, in the midst of this emotional revelation, Noah (who acts as the narrator of the movie), is intent on getting his friend Howie to hook up with someone during their vacation. Howie has never been in a relationship and is hesitant to make a connection with a random man when he could be spending time with his beloved friends, especially when this connection likely won’t amount to much. With a resurgence of romantic comedies in recent years, Fire Island is looking to be a worthy addition to the genre and is an excellent kick-off to Pride Month.

Joel Kim Booster as Noah
Joel Kim Booster, who also wrote the script, stars as Noah in Fire Island. Serving as the movie’s narrator, Noah guides his friend Howie as he tries to find someone for his friend to hook up with on their vacation. Booster is a writer, comedian, and actor who earned critical acclaim for his Comedy Central stand-up special and his debut stand-up album Model Minority. Additionally, Booster has written for shows like Netflix’s Big Mouth, Billy on the Street, and The Other Two.
Bowen Yang as Howie
Bowen Yang stars in Fire Island as Howie. Visiting his friends from California, Howie heads to the titular vacation spot for the weeklong festivities. When his friend Noah is convinced that Howie needs to have sex, Yang’s character finds himself unexpectedly falling for the charming Charlie. The Australian-born Yang is a comedian, actor, and podcaster. Best known for his role on Saturday Night Live, Yang became the first featured player to be nominated for an Emmy. Yang also briefly appeared in this year’s The Lost City and can be seen next in Billy Eichner’s upcoming romantic comedy Bros.
Conrad Ricamora as Will
Conrad Ricamora stars as Will in Fire Island, a close friend of Charlie’s and a love interest for Noah. Ricamora previously starred in the Viola Davis-led How To Get Away With Murder. Additionally, Ricamora has had a recurring role in The Resident and previously starred in the 2017 movie The Light of the Moon.
Margaret Cho as Erin
Margaret Cho plays Erin in Fire Island. Her character serves as the House Mother to the main cast as they head to Fire Island for a week of fun. While known for her stand-up comedy, Cho also has an extensive filmography that ranges from ABC sitcom All-American Girl to movies like One Missed Call, 17 Again, and Bright.
