With the writers’ room on Fire Country season 2 reconvened following the end of the writers’ strike, the show’s creative team gave Deadline a preview of what to expect. Showrunner and executive producer Tia Napolitano shared that she felt energized, revealing that the show will depart from where it was in season 1. She added: “My goal is to, the first time we see each and every character, the audience will gasp and be shocked, everyone’s story will be very, very surprising from the moment you see them.” The full quote is below:

What To Expect From Fire Country Season 2 (& How Many Episodes Will It Be?)
Fire Country season 2 is poised to address where season 1 left off. Bode and Gabriella (Stephanie Arcila) revealed their feelings for each other, but there was more trouble ahead for the show’s lead character. Bode’s drug test came back positive, which means that he’s staring down the possibility of a return to prison and the loss of a chance at an early release. Season 2 will likely follow up on Bode’s situation after the Fire Country season 1 ending.
In terms of how many episodes Fire Country season 2 will consist of, given the impact of the strikes on the typical fall TV schedule, that is less clear.
