The firenado of Fire Country season 2, episode 5 and its aftermath upended the community in Edgewater, and in doing so, it prompted huge changes to Bode and Gabriela’s relationship. However, while Bode already dealt with his feelings, Gabriela has yet to admit the uneasiness she felt when Bode told her about a new girl without explaining it was his possible daughter. Her and Diego’s wedding will also take center stage in Fire Country season 2, with its organization involving Gabriela’s estranged mother giving them a chance to rebuild their relationship, but also potentially cause trouble considering what Gabriela thought of her until recently.

Bode is also likely to go through life-changing events. Cara’s heartbreaking death in Fire Country season 2, episode 5 guarantees Bode’s attention will be on supporting Jake and Genevieve for the rest of Fire Country season 2. With the ambulance incident changing Cara’s mind about letting him bond with Genevieve and even seemingly confirming him to be the father, there is no reason for Bode to stay away from Jake and Gen.
