Final Fantasy XIV: How To Get The Archfiend Attire

Final Fantasy XIV: How To Get The Archfiend Attire

The Archfiend Attire is a complete collection of armor in Final Fantasy XIV featuring a sleek, dark design with sharp edges lined with glowing red fissures. Introduced in Patch 6.1, this outfit strongly resembles the sinister and menacing look of Daedric Armor from the Elder Scrolls series. Likewise, the Archfiend is a perfect, ominous look for those roleplaying as a Dark Knight or Reaper in Final Fantasy XIV. All pieces of the Archfiend Set are fixed to Level 1 since the attire is meant to be used for Glamour and not practical use.

To get the Archfiend Attire in Final Fantasy XIV, Warriors of Light must participate in the new PvP Series system known as Series Malmstones. These Malmstones functions are akin to an online game’s battle pass, rewarding players for their participation via gameplay. In this case, adventurers must take part in the Eorzea’s PvP battles, including the newly updated Crystalline Conflict Mode.

PvP in Final Fantasy XIV is entirely optional, meaning that it is possible for a player to reach the conclusion of the Endwalker expansion without ever touching any player-versus-player content. However, those looking to acquire the gorgeously intimidating Archfiend Attire have no choice but to play in PvP matches.

Unlocking The Archfiend Attire In FFXIV

Still, Final Fantasy XIV‘s PvP is not innately unlocked during the MSQ like most mainstream features of the game. Instead, adventurers will need to complete several side quests before they can access all the current content in the PvP system. Keep in mind that all gear and levels are synced during PvP Instances. In other words, skill and experience are the main factors of a team’s success during battles. To start PvP in FFXIV, players must first visit their correlating Grand Company’s headquarters. Next, they must follow through and complete the following quests: “A Pup No Longer,” “Like Civilized Men and Women,” and “Rival Wings.” Only “A Pup No Longer” is required to grant adventurers access to the Crystalline Conflict, while the following two unlock more modes for PvP.

Once Final Fantasy XIV players have begun their journey into PvP, they must continue farming battle XP to progress the aforementioned Series Malmstones. They can check their progress by opening up their PvP Profile and selecting the “Series Malmstones” tab. Each rank will reward players with 1,000 Trophy Crystals, and every 5 Levels, they will receive a unique, rare item. Once FFXIV Warriors of Light finally grind up to Series Level 25, they can open the Malmstones window and claim the Archfiend Attire.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or Square Enix’s official website.
