FFXIV: How To Get GARO Crossover Gear

FFXIV: How To Get GARO Crossover Gear

Upon logging into Final Fantasy XIV, players will have the opportunity to experience the return of the Garo Collaboration Event. For the first time since Endwalker‘s release, adventurers will be able to acquire stylish gear and weapons from the popular Japanese television series. The rerun of the Garo Collaboration features all previous rewards and is updated for Shadowbringers and Endwalker jobs. Players should not miss out on their chance to acquire these exclusive armor and weapon sets, through the game’s PvP system.

To start the event, adventurers must make their way to the Wolves’ Den Pier. Players that have yet to unlock this area, must first have a Disciple of War or Magic at level 30 and obtain a quest from their Grand Company, called “A Pup No Longer.” They then can take a ferry at Moraby Docks in Lower La Noscea and start earning Wolf Marks. FFXIV: Endwalker‘s new PvP mode Crystalline Conflict, Frontline, and Rival Wings all award adventurers with the currency necessary to purchase the event rewards. Wolf Marks are gained at a higher rate for winning a match but can still be obtained from losses.

The PvP currency can be exchanged for accessories, gear, and weapons by talking to the Disreputable Priest (X: 5.0, Y: 5.3). Since the first Garo Collaboration, the Dancer, Gunbreaker, Reaper, and Sage jobs have been added to the game. Players can now purchase a brand new set of event armor for both the Gunbreaker and Reaper. The Dancer shares the Ranged Physical DPS gear, while the Sage uses the Healer set. Players can not acquire an event weapon for any of these four jobs. Besides the Garo Collaboration equipment, the event also offers unique rewards for completing achievements.

How To Earn The Garo Crossover Mounts In FFXIV

Every celebration in the game has achievements associated with the occasion. In the case of FFXIV‘s seasonal events, they are typically earned by completing the quest for that year. Players can acquire three Garo Collaboration mounts for finishing specific achievements. First, adventurers must obtain an event title by talking to the Disreputable Priest, with a full set of Garo job gear equipped. Once selected, players need to “Emerge victorious in 10 Frontline or Rival Wing campaigns.” The second achievement requires that adventures win 30 Feast or Crystalline Conflict matches. Lastly, players must be “Victorious in a combination of  60 Frontline/Rival Wing campaigns or Feast/Crystalline Conflict matches.” The Ginga Pipe, Goten Pipe, and Raigo Pipe can be earned from each achievement respectively. Adventurers that wish to know how many Wolf Marks they need for the gear should look below:

  • Weapon – 4,000 Wolf Marks
  • Head – 2,000 Wolf Marks
  • Chest – 4,000 Wolf Marks
  • Hands – 2,000 Wolf Marks
  • Legs – 4,000 Wolf Marks
  • Feet – 2,000 Wolf Marks
  • Accessory – 1,000 Wolf Marks

The release of FFXIV: Endwalker Patch 6.1, brought many new additions to the game, including the Crystalline Conflict and the Garo Collaboration rerun. As an alternative to PvP, adventurers can also purchase the event gear with MGP from the Gold Saucer. However, these armor and weapons are non-dyeable and do not count towards the achievements that reward the titles. No exact end date for the rerun has been posted, but the last iteration of the event lasted over two years. If the Garo Collaboration stays even half as long this time, adventurers will have plenty of time to earn some of the best-looking gear in FFXIV.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or Square Enix’s official website.
