The second title in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is scheduled to release on February 29, 2024, exclusively for PlayStation 5. This is over three years after the first entry of the re-imagined story made its debut and over 27 years since the original version of the game captured so many hearts. Square Enix has confirmed that despite Rebirth not being out yet, the third currently untitled game is already in development. Based on the graphics shown in the Rebirth trailers thus far, it looks as though the development team is making good use of the PS5’s advanced hardware to provide another high-quality experience.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the rest of the new trilogy are altering some of the storylines from the original in ways that are keeping the Final Fantasy fanbase on its toes with speculation and theories. The game’s Producer, Yoshinori Kitase, said, “The story will unfold more dramatically than ever before, with a rapid pace of major twists and turns. We know fans are dying to see one scene in particular.
