Fantastic Four Become the Stars of Modern Family in Genius Fanart of Upcoming MCU Heroes

The Fantastic Four are a family, first and foremost, and nowhere is that more apparent than in a sweet new piece of crossover fanart paying homage to ABC’s Modern Family series. Throughout their storied history, the Fantastic Four have always been one of Marvel’s campier and more light-hearted teams. With this character art, fans can’t help but fall in love with this team of heroes and their beautiful families.

Brazilian artist Isaque Arêas (@isaqueareas) has put together Marvel’s First Family in the eccentric style of an extended “Fantastic” Family. The art pays tribute to the classic Modern Family opening credits with picture frames of the heroes and their respective families.

Keeping up with the modern day comics, Ben Grimm is shown with his wife, Alicia Masters, and their two adopted children, N’Kalla and Jo-Venn. Reed Richards and Sue Storm pose in their Fantastic Four uniforms with their brilliant kids, Franklin and Valeria. Only Johnny Storm is alone with a single flaming picture frame, but still living his best life. This wholesome art gives fans a reminder of how relatable the four heroes are outside of fighting crime.

The Fantastic Four Are The Perfect Modern Family

Seeing the Fantastic Four as a light-hearted sitcom family could be in the near future as they enter the MCU with a new film in 2025. The official main cast of Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) have fans super excited for the future of the Marvel film franchise. Not only that, but based on the beautiful, retro concept art for 2025’s The Fantastic Four, it looks like the MCU will be traveling back to the 1960s to explore the origins and daily lives of these superheroes.

The Fantastic Four represent a campier side of comics that’s rarely explored in other media. The most recent Fantastic Four comic series has placed an emphasis on the team’s family dynamics and their more outrageous, sci-fi adventures. Their new MCU film can similarly return the Four to their roots where they are a family trying to adjust to their strange new powers. It’s no surprise fans have already started comparing the superhero team to one of America’s most wholesome and eccentric TV families, the Pritchett/Dunphy/Delgado/Tucker clan from Modern Family. Imagine if the 2025 film had each member of the team, their family members, and even their robot sidekick, H.E.R.B.I.E, sitting on couches and sharing their opinions on life and drama directly to the camera.

The Fantastic Four Should Return To Their Wacky and Wholesome Adventures

Marvel’s First Family is planning their biggest comeback in 2025, and it’s time the fans that embraced their family fun vibes. Newer versions of the Fantastic Four, especially the Ultimate Universe comics, have made it their mission to make the team as dark and serious as possible. However, that backward way of thinking is what has led to more alienation from the fan base. While they struggle to fit in with society due to their powers, the Fantastic Four ultimately try to take life one step at a time and focus on the positive as a family. The Fantastic Four, as a warm and friendly family like the characters of Modern Family, takes fans back in time to a golden era of comics where they thrived.
