Despite its long pre-development, the Family Guy movie is still on the way. The show first premiered in 1999 and features an animated family of five and their dog, Brian. They live in a small town and constantly get into ridiculous antics that reflect politics, raunchy topics, and anything related to comedy. Despite efforts by the show’s creator, Seth MacFarlane, there has not been a feature-length movie since Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story in 2005.
The Family Guy movie was first announced in 2007 and was officially confirmed in 2011, but it has never fully made it to production. While MacFarlane was speaking at the Paley Fest LA event, ComicBook.com reports that he admitted that “I have known what that [Family Guy] movie will be for 15 years and I just haven’t had the time to get to it.”
