Fallout TV Show Scores An Even Earlier Release Date On Prime Video

The upcoming Fallout series is set to land on Prime Video earlier than expected. Following the huge success of the video game franchise of the same name, Amazon purchased the rights to adapt the game into a post-apocalyptic drama series that would be spearheaded by the duo of Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. After years of production, it was initially announced that the show would arrive on Prime Video on April 11, 2024. However, that date was recently changed.

Amazon Studios has revealed that the release date for the Fallout series is now set for April 10, 2024. While the change isn’t hugely significant as it’s only a day apart from the initial release date that was set, fans of this franchise would be able to watch this highly anticipated show earlier than they expected.

Historically, adaptation of video game franchises into shows has always been hit or miss. In the past, video games like The Last of Us, Halo and Riot Games’ Arcane have been adapted into successful shows which have received mostly positive reviews, while other adaptations of games like Resident Evil have fallen flat. While there are numerous reasons why an adaptation can go wrong, one of the most important things is how well the game world and story is converted into reality.

Since the Fallout series is set in a different time from that of the video game, a lot of the events that are expected to take place during this period remain largely unknown, as the franchise never touched this time period. However, the latest trailer for Fallout hinted at some other possible changes that can be expected and, with the release date just around the corner, fans of this franchise wouldn’t have to wait much longer before they can experience this whole new unexplored world that Nolan and Joy have come up with.
