Fall Guys Teases New Content To Be Revealed At The Game Awards 2020

After a bit of teasing, it appears developer Mediatonic plans to reveal Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout’s Season 3 content during this month’s The Game Awards 2020. The studio spent the last week or so of November planting hints about the next batch of new content. Fortunately, players will soon be treated to concrete details.

Mediatonic’s first Season 3-related tease for the battle royale platformer went live last month. The sneak peek came in the form of a screenshot via Fall Guys‘ official Twitter account. With it being a sneak peek, hardly anything could be gleaned from what amounted to a heavily zoomed-in image. Before long, though, fans were given a chance to uncover the full image themselves. Mediatonic put out a call for 30o volunteers on social media, inviting the select group of fans to take part in a jigsaw puzzle-solving venture. Thus, the volunteers joined each other in a task to piece together a massive puzzle and unleash the first major hint about what Season 3 would entail. Following roughly 12 hours of laborious work, the participants figured it all out, fully unveiling key art for Fall Guys Season 3: Winter Knockout.

Since then, the crew at Mediatonic has mostly remained silent. However, the silence may soon come to an end in a matter of days. The Fall Guys developers recently took to Twitter once more, nudging fans to tune into the Geoff Keighley-hosted The Game Awards 2020 ceremony on December 10 at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET. Viewers can expect to get their first look at Pegwin, a new automated obstacle (or, more likely, target) that will seemingly join the battle royale during Season 3’s content roll out.

Another tease for Season 3 has gone live, too. Fall Guys posted a Twitter poll asking followers to vote on a brand new item’s name, revealing it in the process. It’s a very festive-looking obstacle, with a long candy cane-like handle and what looks like a huge jingle bell on the end. Those who participate in the poll can either choose to name it Ringus Dingus, Slay Bell, Swingding, or Swinging Belle. As of writing, the poll is slated to close in six days. Once it ends, whatever name wins out will presumably be the object’s official in-game descriptor.

Since its full release this summer on PS4 and Steam, Fall Guys has experienced meteoric success. The launch of Season 2 back in October helped keep the momentum going. Reason suggests the same will hold true for the release of Season 3’s content, which presently lacks a due date.
