This year, the Lake Como Comic Art Festival will feature numerous comic artists. Previously announced artists attending include Jordi Bernet, Frank Cho, Glenn Fabry, David Finch, Juanjo Guarnido, Tula Lotay, Bill Morrison, David Petersen, John Romita Jr., Bill Sienkiewicz, Philip Tan, and Charles Vess. The newest revealed artist attendees include Jim Cheung, Carla Cohen, Terry Dodson, E.M. Gist, Lucio Parillo, and Julian Tedesco. This is a stunning line-up, and if that wasn’t enough for guests to be excited about, Sal Abbinanti (the creator of Atomika: God Is Red, The Hostage and art dealer for Alex Ross and Bill Sienkiewicz) is providing original art sketches to the 75 guests who purchase the VIP Experience tier ticket. Even more guests and a programming schedule will be announced soon. Abbinanti says:

As a proud sponsor of the 2024 festival, I’m excited attendees who opt for the VIP Experience will be able to walk away with a randomly chosen one of a kind piece of art by either Alex Ross, who unfortunately will not be present at the festival, or by Bill Sienkiewicz, who will be on site all weekend.

The Lake Como Comic Art Festival is the modern equivalent of Oz. It is a magical show that you’ll never forget and want to go back to year after year. The small intimate crowd allows attendees to meet the artists one on one and savor the conversation and experience like a fine glass of Italian wine. Both art connoisseurs and those new to original art collecting will appreciate the well-curated list of artists and exhibitors — featuring some of the world’s greatest art dealers all assembled in one place — and find an array of works to meet their aesthetic and budget.

There are three tiers to the Lake Como Comic Art Festival Mattiniero (“early bird”) ticket packages. The first is a 2-Day Pass for the weekend (May 18-19). It will include a 2024 Lake Como Fine Art Portfolio, Festival Swag Bag, and automatic entry into all giveaways. The second tier is the All-Access Pass. This pass features all of the perks from the 2-Day Pass, and adds an opening night ticket on May 17, entry to all workshops and panels, and early access to show exclusives. The premium ticket available is the VIP Experience. In addition to the signed art sketch mentioned above, it features everything in the All-Access Pass, including entry for all three days. There will only be 75 of these tickets sold, and art pickups will need to be done in person at the show. The Mattiniero Ticket Packages feature special pricing that potential guests should not miss out on.
