Exclusive: Big Hero 6 The Series Short Teaches Fans Home Exercises

Big Hero 6 The Series short teaches young fans various exercises they can do from home. With schools and businesses closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, people are spending more time at home. As a result, parents with small children are trying to find ways to keep them occupied as everyone adjusts to an unprecedented situation. It’s for this reason Disney decided to make Frozen 2 available on Disney+ months early and moved up The Rise of Skywalker’s digital release date. And now, the Mouse House is making sure kids stay active during the shutdown.

Disney XD is coming out with a collection of Big Hero 6 The Series shorts that aim to illustrate fun activities kids and families can do while they’re at home. It’s part of the company’s #WAITT (we’re all in this together) initiative. The first short is titled “Home Exercise” and features Baymax and Wasabi attempting to do yoga together. A full-length version of “Home Exercise” premiered in 2018, but now the clip is being repurposed for #WAITT. You can check out the exclusive shared to Screen Rant below.

As tempting as it is to just sit on the couch and stream movies all day while in quarantine, it’s important for everyone to remain as physically active as possible. With gyms closed, people may need to get creative, and some are probably limited with what they can do at home. That’s what makes the above video so great for families. The exercises shown are simple and fun, ensuring kids can stay fit until it’s safe for things to reopen. It’s also smart of Disney to use one of their most adorable and popular characters (Baymax) as the mascot for this initiative. Children may be inclined to follow his lead if they’re big fans.
