Every Worst Date Joey Had, Ranked

Joey, the cute Italian guy living opposite Monica dated a number of women. Monica was right, it didn’t take Joey more than a shower to get over a relationship. He proudly marketed himself as a loner, someone women wouldn’t want to get mixed up with.

Whilst, Joey could easily work his charm on women, there were times when things got a bit out of hand. Here is every worst date Joey has ever been on.

Cecilia Monroe

Every Worst Date Joey Had, Ranked

Susan Sarandon’s Cecilia Monroe was seen in the seventh season of Friends. She played a legendary actor who became a victim of sexism in Hollywood. Cecilia was been written off as Jessica Lockhart from The Days of Our Lives. Joey played her brain on the show. A woman in a man’s body. Go figure!

Cecilia and Joey met on the sets, and he was completely smitten by her. He came to her for tips and accidentally slipped the fact that she was getting fired off the show. The two warmed up to each other, spent the night together. The next morning Joey got his scripts, he played Jessica Lockhart on the show and Cecilia left for Guadalajara.

Kristen Leigh

You rarely hear Joey give a tip to the women he dates, most times he just wants to dumb them down or get them drunk. Joey met Kristen Leigh while she was moving in. He gave her a hand with her stuff, followed by the warning to not to take a nap on the stoop. Then he asked her out, and she agreed to see him the next day. The funny thing is Kristen, dated both Joey and Ross. Ross was seeing her the night she met with Joey. In a fit of jealousy, Joey ended up ambushing the two on their date. The two men started blurting out each other’s secrets, and by the time they finished, she’d taken off.

Janine

The Australian dancer Janine moved in with Joey, without him interviewing her for the prerequisites. All he asked her was, “When can you move in?” Janine became the woman Joey failed to entice with his, “How you doin’?”

The two did have a genuinely nice relationship, but once Janine began to dislike Monica and Chandler across the hall, Joey called it quits. To be fair, Chandler was never blah, he was a hoot. And Monica could take her down.

Charlie

Friends Rachel Joey Ross Charlie Double Date

Charlie and Joey didn’t make the least bit of sense. She was introduced as Ross’ colleague who had just joined his department. Joey stole the girl from Ross at his soap opera party on the roof. Charlie was surprised at herself for dating Joey, for he was so different from the guys she usually dated, which were professors, intellectuals, and paleontologists. Joey and Charlie ended up cheating on each other, in Barbados with Rachel and Ross, respectively. The two ended things soon.

Rachel

Friends Joey and Rachel

Joey had a crush on Rachel, first. It didn’t work out between the two. Considering she was pregnant and he was her friend. In the last season, Joey and Rachel almost made it. But God what the heck, their romance sounded like writers were looking for a quick buck. Rachel and Joey couldn’t even properly kiss each other for the first time. On their first tragic date as a couple, Rachel kept slapping Joey. On the next tragic date, Rachel kneed him in his crotch. On some level no one of wanted this relationship to work, and a part of them always felt like it was really wrong.

Katie

Even though Katie looked like a small person, her punches could knock out the strongest guy out of three, Joey. Katie had an idiosyncratic behavior, she punched while she talked. People thought it was cute, but they didn’t know!

In Joey’s last date with Katie, he layered himself with four visible sweaters to cushion Katie’s blows. Thankfully Rachel saved him from the disastrous date by kicking Katie.

Mary-Ellen Jenkins

Phoebe set Joey up with a woman named Mary-Ellen Jenkins. She had spent so much time finding Joey the perfect girl for him. Mary-Ellen was smart, cute, and loose. But in turn, Joey set up Phoebe with a complete stranger. As Phoebe found out, she left the scene. Mary-Ellen followed her lead. Couldn’t blame her, Joey planned on getting her really drunk and didn’t even know her name.

Sarah

Sarah and Joey’s dates were more about food than about the two having quality time together. Joey decided to call it quits right after the first date because she took some of his fries, but gave it another shot only on Phoebe’s insistence. On the next date, Sarah ordered a garden salad for herself but reached for Joey’s stuffed clams. Cleary, she wasn’t familiar with the saying, “Joey doesn’t share food!” Joey kept backing off Sarah’s hand, but when it came to stealing her dessert, he wasn’t even sorry!

Hayley

Joey started off his date with Hayley by telling her he didn’t normally ask out women he met in coffee houses. Poor Gunther in the background overheard it, and went hah! They had a great dinner, even when Joey took her last piece of cake, Hayley invited him upstairs for coffee.

But her apartment looked oddly familiar. Eventually he found out he went out with her roommate before, and as soon as the roommate walked in, Joey let himself out.

Ursula

Phoebe’s twin sister, a really high powered, career-driven waitress worked her charm on Joey in “The One With The Two Parts.” Joey was totally and completely smitten with her, only Ursula ended things without even telling him. She didn’t even call him, saying he was smart, so he’d figure it out. Poor Phoebe had to impersonate Ursula to give Joey an explanation that he deserved. He found out and got over it pretty soon.

Erika Ford

Erika and Joey on a date in Friends

Never get involved with your stalker, especially the demented kind who thinks you are the person you play on TV. Joey dated Erika Ford during his gig on The Days of Our Lives. The last time they dined out, Erika licked Joey’s magical hands. And then, proceeded to shove him in the face of a medical emergency at the restaurant. She claimed Dr. Drake, the best neurosurgeon in all of Salem could help solve a case of food choking.

Kathy

Kathy nearly led to the demise of Chandler and Joey’s friendship. She met Joey at a play, and Joey picked all of the scenes that involved making out. Smooth. Things were going alright before Kathy ended up kissing Joey’s best bud, and roommate Chandler. As soon as he knew, their relationship was nipped in the bud.

Kate

He may be a man of the cloth, but he still has feelings! Joey and Kate met while doing a play based on Jennifer Banberry’s work. She was a snooty woman, someone who went to Yale drama and thought soap opera actors were less than. There was sizzling chemistry that Kate couldn’t deny. She always had to pick the smartest and the talented guy, not the sweetest. Kate dated the director of the play, Marshall Townend who dumped her soon after their play bombed, to Kate and Joey had the night together. After the live play, Kate came up to Joey to tell him she was leaving for L.A to do General Hospital.

Erin

Joey and Erin together in Central Perk

Joey and Erin had a fantastic date, but he wanted to end it by the next day. Nothing specifically out of habit for him. This time he asked Rachel to do it for him since Chandler had moved out. Rachel was given the responsibility of telling Erin that Joey was a loner, an outlaw. Instead, Rachel, Phoebe, and Erin ended spending the day together. The system kind of broke down, and the girls wanted Joey to marry Erin. Just as Joey was beginning to warm up to her, Erin decided to pull a Joey and leave. Poor guy was heartbroken at the end.
