Every Week 8 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5

Every Week 8 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5

A new week means new Challenges fans of Fortnite Season 5 can look forward to and complete for more XP toward their Battle Pass. During Season 5, Weekly Challenges have been renamed Epic Challenges, and there are typically seven players can complete every week. Unlike Weekly Challenges from previous seasons, these must be completed in a certain order, which makes them slightly more difficult to complete successfully. Players can also complete an eighth challenge, called a Legendary Challenge, that takes place in 5 separate stages. Each stage comes with its own generous chunk of XP as well. In previous weeks, the Epic Challenges have appeared to follow a certain theme or two. This week, while several have something to do with farming, the rest appear to be random, native-Fortnite-themed tasks players can easily complete.

Each Epic Challenge a player completes will net them 20,000 XP toward the Battle Pass, and the first stage of the Legendary Challenge rewards 55,000 XP. Every subsequent stage a player completes of the Legendary Challenge offers an extra 22,000 XP. Most of these Challenges should be fairly easy for players to complete, making them a good way to get a Battle Pass boost. This week, players can also complete more Challenges that will count toward unlocking the new Predator skin, which will officially become available this week. Here’s every Week 8 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5.

Many of the Challenges during Week 8 of Fortnite Season 5 can be completed while players enjoy a typical match. There are a few, however, that will require them to travel to a specific location. The Epic Challenges for Week 8 are:

  • Destroy apple and tomato produce boxes at The Orchard Farmers Market (3)
  • Drive a car through the cornfield at Steel Farm (1)
  • Deliver a truck to Sunflower’s Farm (1)
  • Pistol Damage (250)
  • Collect Gold Bars (500)
  • Blow up a gas pump (1)
  • Distance traveled Gliding (3,500)

The Legendary Challenge for Week 8 tasks players with catching or finding and eating fish in various quantities:

  • Eat 10 Fish
  • Eat 20 Fish
  • Eat 30 Fish
  • Eat 40 Fish
  • Eat 50 Fish
Players fish during the Fishing Frenzy Fortnite Chapter 2 event

The two Farms and Farmer’s Market are all located close to one another on the northeast corner of the desert biome near what used to be Frenzy Farm. Players may be able to complete a few of those Challenges in the same match, provided they can find a car or truck.

The rest of the Epic Challenges should be easy to complete, particularly dealing damage with a Pistol, blowing up a gas pump, and gliding. To earn Gold Bars, players will need to talk to any of the 40 NPCs around the map and accept a quest or bounty from them. Gold Bars can be saved between matches, so players won’t need to earn all 500 at once.

The easiest way to complete all the Week 8 Challenges, including all 5 stages of the Legendary Challenge, is to work through them in Team Rumble. This will allow players enough time to find a fishing rod and catch and eat enough fish. It can also help them avoid being ambushed at any of the Farm locations in case opponents want to stake the area out in regular matches for easy kills.

Fortnite Predator Crossover Art

Week 8 is the first chance players have to unlock Predator, the Season 5 secret skin. They will need to complete 9 challenges in total to unlock the entire bundle, including a secondary style with a built-in emote, the Jungle Hunter Trophy back bling, a wrap, and wrist blades. Last week, players needed to find Predator’s pod, speak to Remedy, Beef Boss, and Dummy, Collect 3 Health Packs. This week, players will need to complete two more challenges to unlock the skin. These are:

  • Collect at least one Legendary or higher rarity weapon during a match
  • Find Predator’s apartment in Hunter’s Haven and defeat the Predator NPC boss.

Upon defeating Predator, players unlock the skin. They can then earn the remaining accessories by completing the following quests:

  • Complete one bounty with the Predator skin equipped
  • Visit the Predator’s apartment in Hunter’s Haven with the Predator skin equipped
  • Spend 30 seconds within 10 meters of another player with the Predator skin equipped
  • Deal 100 damage while the Predator’s thermal mode is active

Once players have unlocked the skin, they can complete these final quests in any order.
