Every Week 6 Challenge in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer

Every Week 6 Challenge in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer’s sixth week is here, bringing a new questline to the Path of the Splicer story in addition to a new Expunge mission. Like previous weeks, a new set of challenges accompany these missions, but there are only seven challenges that players need to worry about.

The challenges this week take players across multiple game modes, and although the challenges are few players can expert some major XP rewards. Most Guardians will find a lot of the challenges aren’t that difficult to complete, but there are a couple that will take some time. Luckily, all players have until Aug. 24 to complete every challenge.

Behind the Curtain continues the Path of the Splicer storyline, and requires players to defeat Champions based on a percentage instead of a specific amount. “Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete the Path of the Splicer VI, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Champions defeats in Override or Expunge.” Once the corrupted Labyrinth Expunge mission is completed players will unlock the ability to collect Corrupted Keys from enemies, an item needed to open Corruped Vex Chests at the end of corrupted Expunge missions. Rewards for this challenge include double Extra Large XPs and 150 Decrypted Data.

Eliksni Ally II requires players to continue building reputation with the Splicer at the H.E.L.M. This challenge requires reputation rank 20 to be reached, a task made easy when an upgraded Splicer Gauntlet is used to earn additional Decrypted Data. The more Decrypted Data earned, the more a player’s rank increases with the Splicer. The reward for the challenge is double Extra Large XPs.

Sling the Stone…” is a challenge that requires the stagger, pierce, and disruption of 50 Champions. This includes doing this to one single Champion 50 times, although it would take a while. This challenge at large may take longer to complete, so thankfully it can be completed by the end of the season. Players looking to wrap up the season pass will find this challenge’s rewards extremely helpful, too. Rewards for this challenge include eight Extra Large XPs and 300 Bright Dust.

The Red Hat is the ornament for Null Composure. The quest can be obtained by Lord Shaxx and has all the descriptions necessary to earning this cosmetic. In short, the challenge will require players to enter the Crucible and defeat a number of opponents with Solar damage or Fusion Rifles, and earn three valor ranks. Once players have the Red Hat ornament, they can claim the week six challenge rewards. Rewards for this challenge include four Extra Large XPs and 150 Bright Dust.

Herculean Protocol requires players to defeat the Hydra boss in Override, and defeat powerful Vex anywhere in the system. Bonus progress is awarded for defeating Vex in Override. This week’s Override boss is the Hyrda, so this is another easier challenge to complete. Rewards for this challenge include double Extra Large XPs, 250 Decrypted Data, and Achilles Weaves a Cocoon (lore).

Shotgun Splicer, like previous weeks, requires players to defeat opponents in either Override or Expunge. This week’s weapon is the Shotgun, and bonus progress is awarded for rapidly defeating enemies. The reward for this challenge is double Extra Large XPs.

Feels Good to Be Bad is the final challenge for the week, and it requires players to defeat Guardians in Gambit. This time, bonus progress is awarded for players who defeat Guardians as an invader. Play aggressive, bring weapons with quick time-to-kill, and use Supers to complete this challenge as quickly as possible. Rewards for this challenge include eight Extra Large XPs and 300 Bright Dust.
