Every Week 5 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5

Every Week 5 Challenge in Fortnite Season 5

Another week means another set of Weekly Epic Challenges in Fortnite Season 5, this time focusing on finding gnomes and items of interest, hiding gnomes, and dealing damage. During Season 5, players have been receiving their Weekly Challenges in a new format. Each week, there are several tracks for Epic challenges, with each one granted by a few of the NPC bounty hunters found scattered around the map. Players need to complete these challenges in order, rather than having the chance to see all seven of them at once and complete them in any order they want. Completing each Weekly Challenge rewards players 20,000 XP toward their Season 5 Battle Pass. Players can also complete an eighth quest, considered a Legendary Challenge, with or without a squad, that takes place in stages. If players complete all 5 stages, they will earn 143,000 XP total with the first and easiest stage granting 55,000 XP all on its own.

This week, the challenges all seem to center on a theme of finding buried treasure or items, burying items, and even coming up from burying oneself in the sand. A few of the challenges also task players with dealing damage under several conditions. Many of the challenges involving gnomes require players to find specific locations on the map, so players will need to be quick and accurate about finding them or play a few matches in Team Rumble to make sure they finish everything. Here is every Weekly Epic and Legendary Challenge for Fortnite Season 5 Week 5.

Players can complete many of Week 5’s Epic Challenges by playing Fortnite matches as they normally would, though they will need to make a point to land at specific locations around the map. The challenges this week are:

  • Find the buried Blue Coin in Retail Row (1)
  • Dig up Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and Pleasant Park (1)
  • Collect Gnomes from Fort Crumpet and and Holly Hedges (1)
  • Bury Gnomes in Pleasant Park or Retail Row (2)
  • Deal damage within 10 seconds of resurfacing from sand (1,000)
  • Deal damage while crouched (500)

Most of the challenges are straightforward as long as players find the location of the Blue Coin and Gnomes. There are several Gnomes at each location, often hidden around corners or near trees. However, players can collect and dig up a Gnome from Fort Crumpet, so that might be the best place for players to go to knock out both challenges at once. It is possible there is a limited number of these, so if players want to find them, they will want to land at the right location at the start of a match. They may also want to complete these collections and burying tasks in the quieter Team Rumble mode.

The Legendary Challenge for Week 5 tasks players with eliminating a number of guards. First, they will need to eliminate 10, then 20, 30, 40, and finally 50. After the first stage, they will earn an extra 22,000 XP for clearing each of the four remaining stages. This can be easy as long as players find an area containing many IO Guards. This challenge can also be completed with a group for better speed and efficiency.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android devices.
