In season 2, episode 1, Calvin’s widow Angela provides Reacher and Neagley with every bit of information leading up to his death in hopes that they will find out something that the police did not. This also includes a key to Calvin’s office, which turns out to be ransacked. Seeing the set of keys that Angela gave them, Neagley suggests that one of the keys looks like a key for a P.O. box. Reacher instantly praises her for her idea and agrees to try the post office in the morning since it is already closed.

Reacher says his famous quote again in the same episode as he and Neagley are nearly busted at the post office. The second time this quote is said, it becomes one of Reacher‘s many running jokes between the two friends. While searching forthe right post office box, Neagley warns Reacher that they could be arrested on mail tampering charges. As they sit outside in Neagley’s car searching through the bills and solicitations in Calvin’s box, Reacher compliments Neagley on her idea of seeing what was inside the post office as she attempts to plug the USB into the car and realizes that she has the wrong kind of laptop port.

In season 2, episode 4, “A Night at the Symphony”, Reacher and the team are hard at work to find out more about the hard drives they got from New Age headquarters. While sitting at the diner, Reacher complains about the song playing over the loudspeakers. Looking on the computer, Neagley quickly deduces that Swan used cryptic clues in emails sent to Marlo Burns with the words, Jimi Hendrix – Axis: Bold as Love. The 6th song is amazing.” This earns her a compliment from Reacher and gives the team the ability to find out about the Little Wing project that New Age has.

Following the building explosion in season 2, episode 5, “Burial”, the team meets up at the local playground and soon learn that the building was rigged with IEDs with no sign of Swan. The group follows the trail and learns that Marlo Burns’ car was abandoned. After seeing CCTV footage at a nearby store of Marlo and her daughter Jane, Neagley decides to track them by using the IP address and gamer tag attached to Jane’s Nintendo Switch. Neagley also comes up with the idea to go back to Marlo’s house to locate the tag via Marlo’s smart TV, with Reacher complimenting her once again with his classic quote.

WhileReacher himself doesn’t say this quote in the final episode of season 2 of Reacher, Neagley says his infamous quote back at him. Shortly after the team defeats A.M. and Langston, Reacher distributes the bribe money to the victims’ families, including Calvin’s widow, Angela, and gets Neagley’s father round-the-clock medical assistance.

As a thank you, Neagley says to him, “I ever tell you you’re a good friend, Reacher?” in a role reversal of what Reacher says to her. In true Reacher fashion, Reacher replies, “Not nearly enough,” as the team sits around the fire and reminisces about their fallen comrades together.
