Every Song In Cinderella 2021

Warning: Spoilers ahead for 2021’s Cinderella

Here are all of Cinderella 2021’s songs on the fairytale reimagining’s popular soundtrack. Now playing in select theaters and on Amazon Prime Video, Cinderella, written and directed by Kay Cannon, is a musical retelling of the classic tale that adds in twists and turns to the titular character’s journey toward a happy ending. Starring Camila Cabello as the titular Disney princess, Cinderella 2021’s soundtrack really doesn’t hold back.

Amazon’s Cinderella is the first major movie adaptation of the classic tale, which was popularized in the English-speaking world by Charles Perrault, since Disney’s live-action Cinderella in 2015. This iteration, however, involves a lot of music to help tell its tale, which reveals Cinderella’s aspirations to become a fashion designer and Prince Robert’s desire to, well, not become king. The original songs of Cinderella 2021 are also interspersed with pop music.

With an ensemble cast that consists of several talented singers, including Wicked and Frozen star Idina Menzel, the Cinderella 2021 soundtrack includes a mixture of popular songs from throughout the decades — from Madonna’s “Material Girl” to “Am I Wrong” by Nico & Vinz — and original songs written for the film, including the centerpiece single, “Million to One,” co-written and performed by Cabello. Here are all of the Cinderella 2021 songs on the soundtrack.

Cinderella 2021 Songs – Every Song On The Soundtrack

“Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson/”You Gotta Be” by Des’ree – Both songs are played at the start of the film as a mash-up. “Rhythm Nation” is sung by the entire cast while “You Gotta Be” is performed by Cabello as an introduction to her iteration of Cinderella.

“Million to One” by Camila Cabello – An original song written for the Cinderella 2021 soundtrack by Scott Harris and Cabello. It’s the centerpiece that gets a reprise and the song that showcases Cinderella’s dreams to be a fashion designer.

“The New Barry” by Ben Bailey Smith – Smith raps about what’s coming up or what has already happened in the story, providing an interlude between the next aspect of the story. “The New Barry” explains the changing of the guard, with the king passing down succession and announcing the ball.

“Somebody to Love” by Queen – Sung in the film by Nicholas Galitzine, Prince Robert has just been told by King Rowan that he is to marry out of obligation if he is to be the next king, but he wants to marry for love.

“Material Girl” by Madonna – Vivian is frustrated with Cinderella and tries to get her and her daughters to understand that the only way up in society for a woman is by marrying rich.

“Shot at the Crown” by Ben Bailey Smith – This Cinderella 2021 rap song plays to hype up the audience and the town’s people for the ball.

“Am I Wrong” by Nico & Vinz – Cinderella, Prince Robert, Vivian and the rest of the cast join in on this rendition, singing their hearts out because they all want something more out of the lives they’re endlessly stuck in.

“Million To One (Reprise)” – Cabello sings this reprise after Prince Robert buys her dress and invites her to the ball to meet other people who could be interested in her gowns, but she’s thwarted from going by her stepmother Vivian.

“Shining Star” by Earth, Wind & Fire – “Shining Star” is the musical point on the Cinderella soundtrack marking the entrance of Billy Porter’s Fab G, who sings to Cinderella before, during, and after turning one of her dress designs into reality through magic and sending her off to the ball.

“Whatta Man” by Salt-N-Pepa ft. En Vogue/”Seven Nation Army” by White Stripes – This mash-up is sung at the start of the royal ball, the first being performed by a group of women vying for Prince Robert’s attention and the second song performed by Galitzine, whose Robert is fighting through all the attention.

“Perfect” by Ed Sheeran – “Perfect” is a duet sung by Cabello and Galitzine during the ball as Cinderella and Prince Robert dance together.

“Perfect (Reprise)” – Cabello and Galitzine sing this briefly after Cinderella refuses Robert’s proposal and right before the clock strikes midnight and the magic starts to fade.

“Dream Girl” by Idina Menzel – Another original song written for the Cinderella 2021 soundtrack. Menzel’s Vivian sings this after realizing her stepdaughter refused the prince’s proposal to follow her dreams and is angry at her for it, telling her she must marry a rich man because she believes it’s the only way up in life.

“Shoe Made of Glass” by Ben Bailey Smith – Smith raps “Shoe Made of Glass” after Cinderella leaves behind her glass slipper at the ball and the search is on for her to be found in the kingdom.

“Million to One”/”Could Have Been Me” by the Struts – This is a mashup sung by Cabello and Galitzine as Cinderella rushes to get to town in time to meet Queen Tatiana and Robert realizes he isn’t going to let her go so easily.

“Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez – With leading vocals by Cabello, “Let’s Get Loud” is the final song on the soundtrack of Cinderella 2021 and is performed after all the happy endings at the conclusion of the film, with the entirety of the kingdom joining in to dance and sing.
