Renfield
Renfield will see Nicolas Cage as Dracula, a part he seems like he was born to play. Directed by Chris McKay and with Robert Kirkman as one of the screenwriters, Renfield will have Dracula’s faithful minion as the protagonist, except he no longer wants to work with the vampire. Nicholas Hoult will play Renfield in a film that also features Ben Schwartz (Sonic The Hedgehog) and Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). The movie is set to premiere on April 14, 2023.
Butcher’s Crossing
Based on the book of the same name by John Edward Williams, Butcher’s Crossing will see Nicolas Cage as Miller, a hunter with whom the path of protagonist Wil Andrews crosses. The film is described as a frontier epic and will be directed by Gabe Polsky. Already in post-production, Butcher’s Crossing does not have a release date yet. A fun fact is that this will be the first of Nicolas Cage’s roles in which the actor had to shave his head.
