Every Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Suit For Miles & Where It’s From

Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has 39 suits for Miles Morales to wear, including those unlocked via pre-order content and by purchasing the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition. These suits range from adaptations of iconic comic designs to those seen in the award-winning animated Spider-Verse movies. The game also boasts a wealth of completely original designs by Insomniac and other acclaimed artists, offering plenty of variety for Spider-Man fans.

The variety of suits on offer throughout both previous Marvel’s Spider-Man games was a huge selling point for fans. Although Miles Morales had a smaller selection in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales than Peter Parker did in his game, the two share equal billing in the sequel. They have the same number of suits to choose from, with the new Suit Styles feature adding additional color palettes to further the game’s customization options.

Miles Morales’ Classic Suit from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has received an upgrade by the beginning of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2′s story. The new Upgraded Suit is Miles’ default costume and has slight changes to Miles’ classic design, such as red paneling going down the sleeves, harder red protective material on Miles’ gloves, and more angular patterning. Through Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s suit styles, players can also acquire a color swap for the suit that matches Insomniac’s original Spider-Man design for Miles’ mentor, Peter Parker.

Miles and his best friend Ganke Lee made the black and red Classic Suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man as part of forging his own identity as a hero and standing apart from Peter’s traditional red and blue Spider-Man design. The suit is a pretty faithful adaptation of Miles’ traditional look in the comics, sticking close to artist Sara Pichelli’s original design from Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Vol 2. #5, and can be unlocked in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by reaching Level 3.

Main story mission: “Finally Free

Miles’ Evolved Suit is a completely new design made by Insomniac Games and is unlocked during the “Finally Free” mission in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s story. This suit is designed to better harness Miles’ evolving bioelectric powers, with the blue elements moving organically as if the current is flowing through them. The default suit includes larger portions of red and blue, which is more Peter Parker’s style than Miles’. However, there is a suit variant that brings the design closer to the traditional Miles Morales black and red color palette.

Insomniac included Miles’ costume from 2018’s Academy Award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and it returns in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, becoming unlockable at Level 30. The suit came with the unique option to change the frame rate of Miles’ character model to match the animation style of the movie while wearing it. This feature has been carried over into Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 along with all the other suits from the Spider-Verse animated movies.

Unlocked at Level 33

Before creating his own black and red look, Miles wore a shop-bought Spider-Man suit in Into the Spider-Verse, which was sold to him by a shopkeeper played by Spider-Man’s co-creator, Stan Lee. The shop-bought suit also sports a yellow cape to show off Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s cape physics, although in the movie this cape was a throwaway gag as Peter B. Parker states “Spider-Man doesn’t wear a cape” while quickly pulling it off Miles. This costume can be unlocked in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 upon reaching Level 33.

Across The Spider-Verse Suit

Unlocked at Level 44

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 includes Miles’ new suit from the 2023 sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which becomes available upon reaching Level 44 in the game. After over a year of heroics, Miles had grown into his role as his universe’s “one and only” Spider-Man. Alongside this development, Miles changed his suit to make it more unique to him, streamlining it by removing elements from Peter Parker’s old suit such as webbing and adding long red lines – a decision that led to some ridicule from the other Spider-People – down the side of his body.

Sportswear Suit

Unlocked at Level 10

Miles’ Sportswear Suit was simply Miles using one of Peter’s spare masks while in training at the start of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It includes a blue winter jacket, red hoodie, and shorts worn before getting his own full Spider-Man costume. This look returns in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 upon reaching Level 10, with alternative color palettes for this design that match the darker black, red, and gray used in Into the Spider-Verse for his hoodie and shorts. These variants all use Miles’ black and red mask instead of Peter’s as well.

Great Responsibility Suit

Unlocked at Level 42

The Great Responsibility Suit was a gift from Peter to Miles at the start of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and took inspiration from Peter’s Ultimate Spider-Man design with large rounded eyes. While intended as an upgrade to Miles’ Sportswear Suit, it was evident that the young superhero was still in training, as Peter included safety features such as knee and elbow pads into this design. While the original design is based on Peter’s suit as Miles hadn’t found his own identity as a hero yet, there is now a color variant closer to Miles’ look in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the suit can be unlocked at Level 42.

The costume is simply Miles’ regular suit – albeit with larger Ultimate Spider-Man-esque eyes – with sneakers and a hoodie with a spray-painted spider symbol on it. The main appeal of the suit, however, is Miles’ masked cat companion – also called Spider-Man – who sits in his backpack and reacts accordingly to his superhero antics.

Purple Reign Suit

Unlocked at Level 21

The Purple Reign Suit sees Miles don an attire more akin to the one worn by his uncle, Aaron Davis, as his criminal alter-ego, The Prowler. The suit first appeared in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales as a reward for working with Aaron on his music by sampling sounds from across the city.

Aaron returns in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 looking to close the door on his criminal past once and for all, and while the Purple Reign suit becomes available at Level 21, it’s worth assisting Aaron to accumulate enough Tech Parts to purchase it and its different suit styles. One of the Purple Reign Suit alternate color palettes incorporates Miles’ traditional black and red into the design, rather than the Prowler’s purple and green.
