Every Horror Movie & TV Show Releasing On Netflix In November 2020

Despite the fact that the month of October is officially over, Netflix will continue to offer new and exciting TV shows and movies in the horror genre. This month’s additions include brand new releases as well as some familiar titles that are returning to the streaming platform to keep the horrors flowing even as a new holiday season is swiftly approaching. Here’s everything coming to the streaming service for November 2020.

October featured several major releases for the streaming giant, including Mike Flanagan’s follow-up to his massively successful series The Haunting Of Hill House, titled The Haunting Of Bly Manor. It also featured a wealth of international movies such as Cadaver from Norway and Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight from Poland. This October may have been one of Netflix’s most successful years that carried the torch from September’s incredible offerings from Ryan Murphy and McG, who released Ratched and The Babysitter: Killer Queen, respectively.

While November won’t be as grandiose as their “Netflix and Chills” releases from September and October, Netflix ensures that horror fans don’t miss a minute of the paranormal, slasher, or psychological thrills they enjoy even in Halloween’s off-season. From classics to new releases, the streaming service is sure to have something for everyone. Without further ado, here’s every horror movie and TV show coming to Netflix for November 2020.

A Clockwork Orange – November 1st

Every Horror Movie & TV Show Releasing On Netflix In November 2020

Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange returns to Netflix on November 1, 2020. It tells the story of Alex, portrayed by Malcolm McDowell, who recently starred in Amazon Prime’s Truth Seekers, as he and droogs roam around the city with the craving for “ultra-violence.” As they perpetrate disturbing crimes against others, Alex is captured and brainwashed so that the thought of violence makes him physically sick. The 1971 dystopian movie is based off of Anthony Burgess’s novel of the same name. A Clockwork Orange is a horrifying classic that features themes of crime, punishment, brainwashing, dystopian futures, and murder.

Knock Knock – November 1st

Knock Knock Eli Roth Keanu Reeves 2015

Also on November 1st, Eli Roth’s Knock Knock comes to Netflix with a horrifying story about sexual coercion, abuse, revenge, and torture. Starring Keanu Reeves of The Matrix fame as Evan, Knock Knock explores the aftermath of his infidelity with two women, who later torment him with several psychologically torturous twists and turns. Eli Roth is known for having a hand in creating the sub-genre known as torture porn, but this movie takes on a much different tone from his most famous horror movies, such as Hostel. Knock Knock may be one of the most disturbing home invasion movies to date.

Piercing – November 1st

Piercing 2018

Piercing tells the bizarre story of a father who comes to terms with the fact that he has the strong desire to kill his infant daughter. As a result, he searches for a way to supplement his need for parental infanticide by turning his attention towards sadomasochistic desires. Starring Christopher Abbott as Reed, director Nicolas Pesce (The Grudge 2020) creates a horrifying story about a father trying to suppress his desires to kill his own child by any means possible.

Paranormal – November 5th

Paranormal 2020

Netflix’s first original horror series in November 2020 is set in the 1960s, and follows Dr. Refaat Ismail (Ahmed Amin) as he encounters the supernatural. Paranormal is an Egyptian series filled with terrifying adventures through dark houses and eerie corridors. International horror movies proven to be a popular route for Netflix to take during October 2020 with Korean movies such as #Alive – which was ranked number one internationally – and it appears as if Netflix will continue releasing works outside of the United States for the foreseeable future. The trailer alludes to horrors that give off a similar air to Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting series. This paranormal mystery series is sure to keep audiences hooked from start to finish with its unique take on the supernatural.

Prom Night – November 11th

Nelson McCormick’s remake of the 1980 classic Prom Night is coming to Netflix on November 11, 2020. Instead of featuring the iconic scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis as its main character, Brittany Snow takes on the role as Donna Keppel. Prom Night is about a teenager who believes she has left the past behind her only to discover that it’s followed her all the way to her high school senior prom. It has similar themes to other classic slasher movies, such as The Slumber Party Massacre with an escaped murderer on the hunt for his victim, Donna, which mirrors Michael Myers’s drive towards killing Laurie Strode in John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise. With thrills, kills, and more, Prom Night is a welcome addition to the Netflix horror movie line-up.

American Horror Story: 1984 – November 13th

Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: 1984 is finally coming to Netflix after its conclusion in 2019. 1984 is season 9 of the long-running horror anthology series, and stars series regulars such as Emma Roberts and Billie Lourde as well as recurring characters portrayed by Dylan McDermott and Lily Rabe. It takes place at a summer camp in 1984 while a serial killer is on the loose. As the camp counselors try to enjoy themselves, they’re faced with the threat that they could meet their end by the time summer 1984 is over. Despite the fact that it doesn’t include some series favorites like Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, it does offer an incredible contribution to a classic sub-genre and employs a setting that has become extremely popular in recent years. American Horror Story season 9 drops on Netflix on November 13th, which is also the final Friday the 13th of 2020.

Don’t Listen – November 27th

Dont Listen Netflix 2020

The final horror movie coming to Netflix for November 2020 is Don’t Listen, which becomes available on the 27th. It is a brand new release for the streaming service, and follows a family as they experience psychologically thrilling supernatural events. As they continue to grow increasingly dangerous, the family seeks out a paranormal investigator in order to rid themselves of what haunts them. Don’t Listen is a Spanish horror movie, which perfectly rounds out Netflix’s international releases during the month of November. Starting with Egypt’s Paranormal and concluding with an equally supernatural movie ensures that this month will be filled with the ghosts of the past before the holiday season ushers in those of the present and future. Despite the fact that Halloween has come to a close, Netflix‘s November 2020 horror releases will keep the spirit alive well into the winter holidays.
