Every Cameo In Big Mouth Season 7

Every Cameo In Big Mouth Season 7

Big Mouth is one of Netflix’s longest-running shows, and part of that can be attributed to the countless talented guest stars that appear in its episodes. Showing up seemingly at random, Big Mouth’s celebrity cameos always contribute a lot to the humor. Big Mouth’s comedy style is something that appeals to everyone from middle school into adulthood, and it’s always nice to hear a familiar voice when venturing into a show, and having celebrities who dabble in every type of entertainment media is a great way to bring in viewership and keep the show interesting. Big Mouth will end after season 8, so the guest stars are only going to get bigger.

This Netflix original follows a group of pre-teens as they try to figure themselves out while fearing the prospect of being teenagers. With an entirely adult cast, the characters are all going through surprisingly accurate struggles with learning about what it’s like to grow up in a society that ultimately has conflicting messages about sex. Every recurring character and guest star contributes to one side of that controversy during their tenure on the show.

13 Megan Thee Stallion

Every Cameo In Big Mouth Season 7

Megan Thee Stallion has been making several movie and TV appearances as of late, including in Dicks: The Musical and an episode of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. Her role in Big Mouth, however, is a bit different from both. As is commonplace in the show, when a new prepubescent teenager is introduced, so is their Hormone Monstress. Appearing in episodes 1, 5, and 7, Megan Thee Stallion brings to life the hormone monster of Zazie Beetz’s Danni. She is raunchy and hilarious, just like a hormone monster voiced by Megan Thee Stallion should be.

12 Lin-Manuel Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda is no stranger to being a musical genius, and he often brings that real-life experience with him into guest starring roles. His cameo on Big Mouth does that same thing. He appears in Season 7, episode 6, “The International Show,” as a composer named Esperandos Pelitos. During his stint on the show, he writes a new song that Miguelito sings on the show. It’s about the difficulties of growing up and the changes that come with it.

11 Maitreyi Ramakrishnan

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is best known for her role in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, which is no stranger to having famous guest stars either. Her role in Big Mouth season 7 starts in episode 7, “Get The F—k Outta My House“. She enters the scene as Andrew’s new love interest. Ramakrishnan’s character, Marissa, is depicted as Andrew’s sweet and pretty next-door neighbor.

10 Lupito Nyong’o

In a special episode, Big Mouth’s story went global. This is seen in season 7, episode 6, “The International Show.” While the show usually focuses on one middle school, this episode looks at the same age group in different parts of the world. This includes Korea, India, Australia, and Brazil. Lupito Nyong’o’s section of the story takes place in Kenya. She plays a character called Shame Wizard. She belongs to a Kenyan girl who wants to get on a party boat. This role is different from most of Lupito Nyong’o’s renowned parts, but she does an amazing job at capturing the perfect Shame Wizard energy.

9 Billy Porter

Billy Porter is a multiple award-winning performer who joined the cast of Big Mouth for the season 7 premiere. In Season 7, Episode 1, “Big Mouth’s Going to High School (But Not for Nine More Episodes), Porter portrays a character by the name of Ocean. They are a high schooler that uses they/them pronouns. Ocean’s primary function is to give hope to Matthew—another character on Big Mouth—that there will be queer people at high school. Entering a new phase in school is scary, so having this assurance is important to his character.

The newest edition to the cast is a character by the name of Danni. She appears in season 7, episode 5, “Graduation”. Danni is another one of the characters that the main cast is going to meet who is in high school. Mainly, Danni’s interactions correspond with Nick, who meets her and instantly falls in love. In the episode, Nick thinks Danni is really attractive and gets more excited for high school just for that reason.

7 Stephanie Beatriz

Big-Mouth-Lulu

Stephanie Beatriz is no stranger to comedy, and the same can be said about playing animated characters. She played Rosa in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Mirabel in Encanto. In the Big Mouth season 7 premiere, she voices Lulu, the local high school’s mean girl. She’s sarcastic, rude, and tough. She also scares Jessi, one of the Big Mouth regular characters. Despite having a lot in common, Jessi was too intimidated for them to truly be friends.

6 Brian Tyree Henry

Brian Tyree Henry has been in episodes of Big Mouth before, and returns to his role of Elijah in season 7. He was in four episodes of the season, starting with episode 1, “Big Mouth’s Going To High School (But Not For Nine More Episodes).” He’s also in episode 3, “The Ambition Gremlin” and episode 5, “Graduation”. His final episode was season 7, episode 7, “Get The F—k Outta My House”. The pre-teen is a Christian who dislikes anything extremely crass or inappropriate. He’s also the boyfriend of Big Mouth’s Missy.

5 Padma Lakshmi

Having a former Top Chef host as a character on Big Mouth was an off-beat guest star choice, but Padma Lakshmi does a great job in the role. It’s also very convenient that she does, in fact, share a very strong physical resemblance to her character as well. In this role, she voices Marissa’s mother, Priya. This directly impacts Andrew’s love life, as he finds Priya extremely attractive, even after his first meeting with Marissa.

4 Don Cheadle

Secret Invasion's Don Cheadle as Rhodey

Every Big Mouth season seems to have at least one celebrity act as themselves, with Don Cheadle filling that role for the seventh outing. He appears in season 7, episode 6, “The International Show” in the same segment as Lupito Nyong’o. While The Shame Wizard is yelling at the young Kenyan girl, the people around her start transforming into things that can shame her. This includes her family, and very randomly, Don Cheadle. He shows up and starts calling her names and saying he’s disappointed in her.

3 Rosie Perez

Rosie Perez is more commonly known for her roles in dramatic and serious shows. Perez branches out in this show, playing the role of Petra, The Ambition Gremlin. This happens in an aptly named episode, season 7, episode 3, “The Ambition Gremlin”. She was originally a character in Human Resources—the Big Mouth spinoff—and was brought into its parent show. She is on the show to help Andrew, who needs to find direction in his life. She is always pretty helpful and wants to encourage people to achieve all that they can in life.

2 Randall Park

Pete, The Logic Rock is a character voiced by Randall Park, and despite his cameo on Big Mouth this season, he was established on another show by the same creators called Human Resources. Big Mouth characters often return to Human Resources, and vice versa. In Big Mouth, he appears in the first episode of season 7 to help Caleb, a growing character in the series. As Pete, The Logic Rock, Park helped Caleb work through anxiety-inducing situations that he needs help to face. Together, the two characters work through Caleb’s anxieties about heading to high school in the future.

1 Zach Galifianakis

Gratitoad in Human Resources.

This new guest role for Zach Galifianakis is on par with his usual comedic ventures. With roles in The Hangover and The Campaign, he knows how to slip in and out of comedy. He also gets to play one of the characters that gets to make the thoughts of humans audible. He’s been a guest star before and revived his Big Mouth role in season 7, episode 1, “Big Mouth’s Going to High School (But Not for Nine More Episodes)”. Galifianakis plays the part of Gratitoad. This creature voices the gratitude of the people around him. He’s always happy and spreads that happiness to others around him.
