Emma Stone’s Poor Things Character Receives A Gorgeous Watercolor Portrait

Emma Stone’s Poor Things character comes to life in a gorgeous new watercolor portrait. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who is best known for movies like The Lobster and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Poor Things stars Emma Stone as Bella Baxter, a young woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after being brought back from the dead. The film has been met with positive reviews, with particular praise levied at Stone’s lead performance.

In a new piece of art by Vanessa McKee on X, formerly Twitter, Stone’s Bella is the subject of a stunning watercolor painting. Check out the art below:

The art captures Bella’s look from the film, including her dark hair and her frilly 19th century garb, depicting the character looking wide-eyed up to the sky.

The film currently holds an impressive 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising Lanthimos’ wild and imaginative vision. Stone, who also serves as a producer on the film, has similarly been praised, with her bold performance as the naive, unrestrained Bella serving as one of the film’s biggest draws.
