Emilia Clarke celebrates joining the MCU upon Disney releasing the first official Secret Invasion trailer. Since gaining worldwide fame for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Clarke has taken on a variety of other parts onscreen and stage, including in films like Me Before You and Last Christmas, as well as the role of Qi’ra in the Star Wars anthology film Solo: A Star Wars Story. While this premise adds mystery to the series, the recent release of the Secret Invasion‘s first official trailer at Disney’s annual D23 Expo provided clarity. The trailer featured the return of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill, along with newcomers Clarke and Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo in disclosed roles.
