Elden Ring: Where To Find The Magma Blade

Elden Ring: Where To Find The Magma Blade

Imbued with the molten lava of Mt. Gelmir in which it was forged, the Magma Blade is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring granted with a powerful weapon art called Magma Shower. This skill allows its wielder to spin wildly in a magma-splashing slash, an attack move visually similar to Kratos swinging his Blades of Chaos. Dealing both Physical and Fire damage, the Magma Blade can be dual-wielded if Tarnished warriors manage to acquire two of the armaments.

To wield the Magma Blade in Elden Ring, adventurers will need Strength 9, Dexterity 15, and Faith 16. Moreover, activating Magma Shower will cost 12 FP. This weapon’s attack power will significantly benefit from the Fire Monk Incantation, Flame, Grant Me Strength. This Spell increases Physical and Fire-Affinity attack power, allowing the Magma Blade and its unique weapon art to wreak even more havoc. To get one or two of this mighty weapon in Elden Ring, Tarnished must farm a specific high-level enemy found in Mt. Gelmir.

The Magma Blade is a rare drop from the Man-Serpents found around the Volcano Manor, specifically those wielding the weapon. Tarnished can find several as they explore the fiery exterior of the manor. Yet, the best farming location can be found after defeating Elden Ring‘s Godskin Noble in the Temple of Eiglay.

Magma Blade’s Location In Elden Ring

After beating the Godskin Noble boss, exit the balcony on the second floor. Ascend the small winding slope beside the lava falls and enter the opening in the building near the molten river. Be cautious of the Abductor Virgin patrolling nearby. Next, Tarnished must find a lift that will serve as a shortcut back to the Site of Grace within the Temple of Eiglay. Once players activate it, they will be able to efficiently farm the Man-Serpents, going to and fro the Grace point.

While it isn’t officially confirmed, Tarnished farmers have mentioned that Man-Serpent mobs wielding a flaming Magma Blade are more likely to drop the weapon. Hence, it could save players time if they focus their attention on slaying those specific mobs first. Furthermore, adventurers are highly recommended to equip the Elden Ring‘s Silver Scarab Talisman and eat Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot before going on a Man-Serpent hunt. Moreover, bear in mind that fast traveling will dispel the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot’s effect, so those consuming these silver toes must ensure to manually walk back and from when reloading the area. It will take some patience, perseverance, and blessing from RNG, but those who farm diligently will be rewarded with the Magma Blade in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
