Elden Ring: How To Get The Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes

Elden Ring: How To Get The Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes

The Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes are one of the stronger Sorcerer Spirits in Elden Ring that Tarnished can conjure for aid in battle. As a Spirit correlated with the elite scholars of Raya Lucaria, the Twinsage Sorcerer can cast powerful Sorceries such as Glintstone Cometshard and Crystal Burst. Although the Twinsage is not necessarily tanky, it does have enough HP to stand firm on its own.

To acquire and use the Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes in Elden Ring, Tarnished must enter Black Knife Catacombs in the Liurnia of the Lake and defeat the Cemetery Shade. Reaching this location requires adventurers to have arrived in the Liurnia region after beating Stormveil’s Godrick the Grafted or taking the hidden route behind the eastern walls of the castle. Starting from the region’s southeast, players should travel north up the Liurnia Highway, passing the Carian Study Hall. Soon, Tarnished will reach a fork in the road, where the left leads to the Church of Vows and the right goes to the Ainsel River Well. They will need to take the path toward the Church of Vows but take a right along the way. Before reaching the Ruined Labyrinth, they will travel up the northeastern trail until they reach the Black Knife Catacombs at its dead end.

An elite enemy known as Lhutel the Headless will be guarding the entrance to the catacombs. He is able to turn invisible momentarily between attacks, so players should be cautious when they face him. After taking him down, they may enter the Dungeon and rest at the Site of Grace inside.

Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes Location In Elden Ring

Elden Ring: How To Get The Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes

There are multiple bosses within the Black Knife Catacombs, but players only need to slay the Cemetery Shade to obtain the Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes. The Shade’s lair is locked behind a door down the stairway and corridor near the entrance. To open, players must pull a hidden lever in the lower level of the Elden Ring Dungeon. They will enter the room with giant slicing blade traps. They will need to wait for one of the blades to go down and ride it up the entryway of the next floor. They should then run down the two hallways ahead, but, before reaching the Black Knife Assassin’s boss room, they will need to turn right and drop down into a hidden area. In this hidden room, they will want to activate the two levers and return to the Cemetery Shade lair.

The Cemetery Shade is weak to Holy Damage and can easily become distracted with multiple opponents, such as the Lone Wolf Ashes. However, players should be wary of the skeletons that spawn upon entering the room, as they could potentially stagger the player while they’re fighting the boss. If the Cemetery Shade lands a hit on the player, it can build up blood loss, so players will want to take care not to take consecutive hits. Once defeated, the Shade will drop the Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
