Elden Ring Tarnished can start their endeavor for turning Dung Eater into their Puppet by first heading into Leyndell and collecting a single Seedbed Curse. Take the curse and give it to Dung Eater, who can be found in the room next door to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold. He will provide Tarnished the Sewer-Gaol Key, which can be used to open his cell within the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. After entering his prison and speaking with him, return to his room in the Roundtable Hold to find his message, telling players to challenge him at the small moat section west of the Capital Rampart.

After defeating him and acquiring his Greatsword in Elden Ring, return to him again in the Roundtable Hold and exhaust his dialogue. Finally, go back to his cell in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds to make sure he’s now tied to a chair. Next, begin Ranni’s questline by speaking with her in Ranni’s Rise. After speaking with her associates’ spirits, go to Seluvis’s Rise and speak with Preceptor Seluvis to receive Seluvis’s Potion. He will task the player with giving this potion to Nepheli Loux, but Tarnished will instead give it to Dung Eater in his cell.
