Elden Ring: How to Craft (& Use) Exalted Flesh

Elden Ring: How to Craft (& Use) Exalted Flesh

Exalted Flesh is a consumable in Elden Ring that boosts one’s Physical Damage by 20% for 30 seconds. Although this buff does not stack with the Flame, Grant Me Strength Incantation, it still provides an excellent buff for Tarnished before facing a challenging opponent. Keep in mind that the Exalted Flesh only affects physical attacks and abilities. Accordingly, the increased damage applies to Strength and Dexterity builds in Elden Ring but is ineffective for spellcasters.

To craft Exalted Flesh, Tarnished adventurers will need the Armorer’s Cookbook [3], which can be bought from the Nomadic Merchant in East Limgrave for 2,000 Runes. This merchant can be found near the roadside west of Fort Haight and south of the Third Church of Marika. After purchasing the Cookbook, Elden Ring culinarians will gather four ingredients to begin making their damage-boosting jerky: Rowa Fruit ×5, Lump of Flesh ×1, Hefty Beast Bone ×1, and Arteria Leaf ×1.

Rowa Fruit is undoubtedly the easiest ingredient to find since it grows in abundance throughout the grassy regions of the Lands Between. Nonetheless, because this renewable resource is used in many Elden Ring recipes, it can become tricky to know the best spots to farm it. The optimal farming locations for Rowa Fruit will likely depend on players’ preference, yet an excellent site to easily collect dozens of berries within minutes is the Living Jar village of Jarburg. This hamlet is on the small ridge south of the Carian Study Hall and can be accessed by completing the jump puzzle southwest of the tower.

How To Farm Exalted Flesh In Elden Ring

Exalted Flesh’s next two ingredients, Lump of Flesh and Hefty Beast Bone, can be both extracted from the same source in Elden Ring, wild bears and boars. Tarnished can find plenty of wildlife in the Mistwood forests south of the Third Church of Marika. However, an optimal spot for farming several bears at once is the small pond north of the Artist’s Shack in Limgrave. Four bears will spawn within this vicinity without fail, making it a perfect place to hunt and refresh at the nearby Site of Grace.

The fourth and final ingredient is Arteria Leaf, a resource that does not respawn upon reloading and can only be renewed via NG+. Due to their scarcity, Tarnished might have trouble farming these leaves. Fortunately, they can “respawn” via loot drops from demi-giant mobs. Accordingly, an optimal spot to farm for the Arteria Leaf is a hairy troll that can be found to the west of the Giant’s Gravepost in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
