Dungeons & Dragons 2 Gets A Confident Update From Chris Pine: “I’ve Heard Some Rumors”

Edgin actor Chris Pine addresses whether Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2 is happening. Based on the beloved tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves sees Pine’s bard leading a ragtag group of companions on a mission to recover a lost relic. The movie, which is directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, was a hit with audiences and critics, but a sequel has not yet been given the green light.

Now, in a recent interview with GamesRadar, Pine provides an update on Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2. While the sequel isn’t yet a sure-thing, Pine expresses optimism that it will eventually come to fruition. As for whether he would return as Bard, Pine says: “Absolutely.” Check out Pine’s full comment below:

“I’ve heard some rumors about it. But I don’t know anything yet. But I feel pretty confident that it may happen.”

    A live-action film reboot of the Dungeons and Dragons movie franchise is based on the same name’s fantasy adventure gaming property. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves aims to capture the feel of an actual D&D campaign while adding all the flair expected of a big blockbuster film. Chris Pine will be taking on the role of a Bard, and Michelle Rodriguez will be playing the part of the Barbarian. Other cast members will be taking on the roles of various other well-known classes throughout Dungeons & Dragons lore.The project was in development at Warner Bros. for several years before it moved to Paramount after Sweetpea Entertainment and Hasbro reached a settlement over the ownership of sequel rights. This will be one of the first movies released by the studio AllSpark Pictures, launched in October 2017. The first trailer was revealed at Comic-Con 2022, with a release date set for September 8th, 2022.
