Dune 3 Gets Exciting Script Update From Denis Villeneuve: “There’s A Lot Of Firepower There”

Just a few weeks after the threequel was reportedly confirmed to be moving forward, Denis Villeneuve has an exciting script update for Dune 3.

During a recent interview with the New York Times to dive into spoilers about the most recent installment, Villeneuve was asked about the development of Dune 3. The co-writer/director was enthusiastic about making progress on the threequel, confirming that he is currently in the midst of writing the script and teasing who will be a key focus in its story. That anger (felt by Zendaya’s character at the end of Part Two) is tremendous. I don’t want to reveal what I’m going to do with the third movie. I know exactly what to do. I’m writing it right now. But there’s a lot of firepower there, and I’m very excited about that decision.
