Dreams: How to Unlock The Sassy Kitty Trophy

Dreams: How to Unlock The Sassy Kitty Trophy

Media Molecule’s latest game, Dreams, gives players the opportunity to test their creative skills and share them with the world. Players are welcomed into a world where creating video games, art, music, and music videos and share their art projects with the world. But, because it is still a Playstation game, there are always those wonderful trophies for players to aspire to get.

One of the easiest and most entertaining trophies in the world of Dreams is the Sassy Kitty Trophy. The Sassy Kitty trophy works both as an in-game trophy and as an Imp Quest. Imp Quests are missions that players complete to gain XP and unlock usable items. Trophies are earned by completing Imp Quests and leveling up ranks in different types of Imp Quests. The Sassy Kitty trophy requires a little bit of planning on the part of the player.

Dreams gives players the opportunity to create, share, and tweak artistic content by other creators. Players are also capable of teaming up with other Dreamers to work together on a project. This is a perfect plan for, say, a writer and a graphic designer to put their minds together and build a work that stands out. This ability to create, share, and remix other creator’s content means that creators will also have a chance to create their own art, borrow creations by other creators and tweak those some more. This constant changing and creating give players the chance to enter a world of endless possibilities. There is almost nothing the game cannot create or help players create without a bit of imagination and elbow grease.

This endless creation system means players can build full-fledged games, mechanics, assets, 3D sculptures, music, and art, which can be remixed and shared with creators around the world. This also means that the game relies heavily on the community it is working to build.  This dependence can be both a blessing and a curse. The game is defined by players rather than developers, which means that there are endless possibilities and ways to approach one problem that players may face. However, this also means that in order for this system to work to its full potential, players will need to participate in the creation and playing of other creator’s works. But Media Molecule has a way of taking something and making it extraordinary.

But Media Molecule also took into account how players love to collect and earn trophies. Media Molecule addressed this by creating trophies centered on creation, finishing some Media Molecule-created games, and exploring the creations by fellow Dreamers. This gives players a reason to search through the game and try new things. The trophy system in Dreams encourages players to explore not just the game but to explore all of the possibilities of the game. It connects artists and creatives of all sorts to work together and build. Although it seems odd for such an open game to have a trophy system, it works hand-in-hand with the idea Media Molecule is trying to present. That, in order to create something new and different, players will have to explore and learn as much about the process as possible.

The first thing players will need to do is enter Create Mode. Create Mode can be found fairly easily in the menu under the title Dream Shaping. If players have not had a chance to play the tutorials the game offers, it may be beneficial to run through a few of them to get a better handle on how creation in the world of Dreams works. The tutorials are essential in learning how to maneuver and create, which in turn will help players find a way to achieve this trophy.

Players will need to open the menu and enter Create Mode. Once in Create Mode, players will need to place a puppet into Create Mode. Puppets are adorable and, if players do not currently own one, they are able to download puppets other players have created. Puppets do not have to be one created by the players. To earn this trophy, players have the option to use a puppet from another creator, or even one created by Media Molecule will suffice. To find a puppet made by another creator, simply go to InDreams.Me and search for another creator’s profile. Once you get to a creator’s profile, players will have the option of looking at a player’s creations. Oftentimes, creators will allow other players to find and download various puppets, music, and levels that were created. This allows new players to tweak, adjust, and use a creator’s work.

To place a puppet into Create Mode, players will need to use the Gameplay Gear button in the menu. From here, puppets will need to be tweaked in order to up the ante on their Sassiness. This can be done by pressing L1 and Square when hovering over the puppet. Once the tweak menu is open, players should see a list of slider options that will adjust the movements of a puppet. Find the “Upper Body movement” slider and slide it all the way to the top. The “Upper Body Movement” slider actually works as the sassiness slider, and moving it all the way to the top will give a player puppet maximum sassiness. Once the sassiness is all the way at the top, finish a quest and players will be rewarded with that sweet sassy trophy.

It’s that simple! The Sassy Kitty trophy is probably one of the easiest to get, and players will more than likely have a chance at getting the trophy just by playing the tutorials. But, just in case adjusting puppets is a little too tricky for players, this is the fastest and easiest way to go about gaining that trophy.

Filling out the trophy list for Dreams is a good way to buy some time until the VR version of the game comes out. It will be amazing to see what creators think of when the ability to fully immerse players into a game is present.

Dreams is now available on Playstation.
