Dragon Ball’s Trunks Powers Up to Super Saiyan in Incredible New Cosplay

In the anime and manga world of Dragon Ball, going Super Saiyan is a coveted reward after tons of hard work and intense training, with Trunks’ ascension to that level of power recreated in an epic new cosplay!

Posted on Instagram by Zackt (@zackt._), this isn’t the first time this creative talent has brought to life popular anime characters in cosplay form, as his designs dressing as Attack on Titan’s Levi, Sasuke from Naruto fame, and even a few characters from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure are all spot-on costumed looks that would make their manga/anime counterparts proud.

Also taking the time to embody fan-favorite video game characters like Cloud and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII and Leon Kennedy from the Resident Evil franchise, Zackt doesn’t miss when it comes to bringing iconic fictional characters to life, with this Super Saiyan Trunks cosplay being no exception.

Trunks Transforms Into A Super Saiyan In Epic New Cosplay Video

Almost immediately seen in Super Saiyan form after premiering in Dragon Ball canon, Trunks — both the kid version and future version of himself — are serious competitors in battle, often acting as a staple member of the Z-Fighter team they can’t do without. Already having a visual design that fans can’t get enough of, Trunks comes across as even more badass and powerful when ascending to the next level, something Zackt nails in this short cosplay clip.

Dressing as a base-level Trunks complete with his purple Capsule Corp jacket, black undershirt, and trusty sword, the camera slowly moves towards Zackt as he centers his energy and begins to power up to the Super Saiyan level. Developing a light aura around him as he continues to gather energy, Zackt starts to crackle with intense power until, in a flash of yellow light, he pushes past his upper limits and finally goes Super Saiyan! Pulsing with energy and sporting all-white eyes and yellow hair, Zackt stands tall in Super Saiyan form, giving fans a few seconds to savor the look before powering back down to base Trunks in an impressive display of power management.

Dragon Ball has rightfully shied away from heading back to the big screen ever since the debacle that was Dragon Ball Evolution, but with Zackt (@zackt._) and his creative talents on the case, fans are shown exactly what Trunks’ real-world Super Saiyan design should look like if he ever gets a proper live-action debut!
