Post-credits scenes have become an increasingly popular tool in Hollywood, but does The Lost City have an end-credits scene? Originally known as The Lost City of D, Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum teamed up for an original romantic comedy. With a bit of action mixed into the story as well, The Lost City follows author Loretta Sage after she’s kidnapped by a wealthy businessman and the attempt by her cover model Alan to rescue her.
The Lost City‘s ending leaves room for the adventures of Loretta Sage and Alan to continue, meaning Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum could reunite for a sequel. Although their characters don’t really like each other at the start, that changes after surviving in the jungle and finding a lost treasure. Loretta and Alan’s next adventure is not guaranteed, but the movie’s positive reviews and box office performance could mean Paramount turns The Lost City into a franchise.
Paramount’s interest in The Lost City 2 might already be set up too.
