The Golden Bachelor got off to an incredible start as 71-year-old leading man Gerry Turner met his potential love interests, and gave his first impression rose to Faith Martin, but did he choose her in the end? Faith made quite an entrance, arriving not in the traditional limousine, but instead riding in on a motorcycle, wearing a black leather jacket over her hot pink dress. She told Gerry, “I’m proof that you can live fast, and not die young, and if you leave here with me, it’ll be the ride of your life.” Later, Faith sang Gerry a song while playing the guitar, which he really loved.
During The Golden Bachelor premiere, Gerry gave Faith his first impression rose. He told her, “I want you to know that you made this impression not because you rode in on a motorcycle. Not even because you have a beautiful voice, and you sang a song to me, but because of what you’re doing right now. You’re making me feel very special.” In her confessional, Faith said, “To me, this rose represents hope. A hope that we could create something beautiful together, and that’s the beginning. And I felt so special.” Faith and Gerry then shared a kiss.
Who Is Faith Martin?
Faith is a 61-year-old local radio host and high school teacher from Benton City, Washington. In her Golden Bachelor premiere night package, she shared that she refers to herself as a “fun monger.” She explained, “If it looks fun, I wanna do it.” Faith was shown rollerblading and walking with her horse. According to her ABC bio, Faith has many talents which she does professionally, including radio hosting, teaching, and singing. She enjoys riding her horse, Liberty, through the mountains. She’d also love to be in a band. Faith has been diving with sharks, ridden a motorcycle, and gotten a tattoo, but she’s still searching for a partner with whom to “enjoy the thrills of life.”
On The Golden Bachelor premiere, Faith revealed that she was married for 21 years, and got divorced in 2005. According to her ABC bio, she has two sons and four grandchildren that she “loves more than anything in this world.” Faith has an Instagram page that includes many photographs of her family, as well as clips of her singing. There are also several posts about her joining The Golden Bachelor.
Faith also has an official website. On that page, her bio reveals that she has been performing for over 40 years, first as a lead singer in different bands, covering pop, classic rock, and country music. In 2013, she began an acoustic duo with her longtime band member, Bobby Nelson. They played in smaller, more intimate venues. Recently, she has become a solo artist and performs her original music, which is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Does Faith Martin Win The Golden Bachelor?
According to Reality Steve, Faith doesn’t win The Golden Bachelor. Instead, Gerry chooses either Leslie Fhima or Theresa Nist. However, Faith does receive a hometown date, which was filmed on August 19. Unfortunately, Gerry eliminated Faith after that date, so she didn’t get to meet his family.
Faith is a kind-hearted, interesting, beautiful woman with a zest for life. She captivated Gerry on The Golden Bachelor premiere night, and is sure to become a fan favorite as the season progresses. She seems like a sincere person who truly wants to find love again. Faith is the perfect woman to become the first-ever leading lady of The Golden Bachelorette.
