Wish‘s Disney Plus release date has now been revealed, and audiences don’t have long to wait. Released in theaters in November, the animated Disney film follows Asha as she makes a wish upon a star and gets more than she bargained for when a mischievous wishing star comes down from the heavens. Wish earned mixed reviews from both audiences and critics and was a box office disappointment.
Disney now confirms that Wish will land on Disney Plus on April 3, more than four months after it hit theaters. The film’s upcoming release on streaming follows its release on VOD platforms on January 23, and its subsequent physical media release on March 12. Once it’s available on streaming, more audiences will get to check it out than ever before.

Wish is a Disney animated adventure/fantasy comedy that follows Asha, a young girl from the kingdom of Rosas who wants nothing more than to care for the people of her home. One night, Rosa takes a chance to wish upon a star – only to invite a bit of chaos when her prayers are somewhat answered by an energetic cosmic entity known as Star. Together with her goat and this new friend, they’ll set off to save the kingdom from an ambitious king.
