Disney Dreamlight Valley: Buzz Lightyear Friendship Guide

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Buzz Lightyear Friendship Guide

Buzz Lightyear is one of two Toy Story characters introduced to Disney Dreamlight Valley at the end of 2022. Like many residents of the Valley, players invite Buzz to the village by visiting the Toy Story realm and reminding him of his old life. Like most characters, Buzz has four Friendship Quests that explore his story and help bring life to the Valley.

The first thing players need to do is unlock Buzz in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This involves completing the Realm Quest, “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space.”

This quest involves finding fresh batteries for Buzz, fixing a racecourse, collecting Magic Growing Cacti, and more. At the end of this quest, players build Buzz’s RV, and the space ranger can move into the Valley.

Buzz Lightyear’s first Friendship Quest, “A Space Ranger Recruit,” has the player help Buzz establish the Space Rangers in Dreamlight Valley. To advertise for the group, players must build a Space Ranger Ship as decor outside Buzz’s RV (which Buzz uses for Star Command). The Space Ranger Ship costs 3 Glass, 10 Hardwood, and 5 Iron Ingots in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In addition, the Furniture must be placed near the RV to continue the quest.

The second part of this Disney Dreamlight Valley Friendship Quest has the player ask Scrooge McDuck for a Space Ranger Uniform. Of course, Scrooge will require the materials to produce the outfit. First, players must craft Navy Blue Dye using 3 Blue Falling Penstemons, 10 Coal Ore, 15 Blueberries, and an Empty Vial. They will then need to present the dye to Scrooge alongside 15 Fiber, 15 Softwood, and a Topaz. Finally, he will give players the Space Ranger Helmet and Space Ranger Wings, which they must wear when they speak with Buzz to end the quest.

A Space Ranger Reputation: Friendship Level 4 Quest

For Buzz’s second Friendship Quest, he confronts Ursula living in Disney Dreamlight Valley on her sinister plans, only to fail. Afterwards, he sends the player back to the Toy Story realm to collect some Buzz Lightyear Playing Cards hidden inside books. The first is in the yellow rainbow book by Bonnie’s bed. The second is in the music book in the corner of the room. The last book is the red Easter egg book next to the white table.

Later, Buzz will ask them to search for Sheets of Paper inside Merlin, Donald, and Mickey’s houses. Merlin’s paper is by the telescope, Donald’s paper is in the back of the room, and Mickey’s paper is behind the couch. Next, players will use the Buzz Lightyear Playing Cards and the Sheets of Paper, alongside a bit of Glue, to craft 3 Buzz Lightyear Leaflets. The quest ends once players hand the leaflets to Donald, Maui, and Ursula, then report back to Buzz.

The Fragmented Past: Friendship Level 6 Quest

The Fragmented Past Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley involves restoring a memory with Buzz and Scar. Players find a buried clue in the Forest of Valor by the river that sends them to Scar. He will force the player to cook him Fish Soup (Milk, Fish, Vegetable) and a Tuna Burger (Tuna, Lemon, Onion, Wheat, Vegetable). Next, feeding Scar will spawn another clue inside Scar’s Cave. Finally, players will have to fish the third clue out by the bridge in the Sunlit Plateau. This fixes the Memory and lets the player end the quest by talking to Scar and Buzz.

Having realized villains aren’t so black and white following the Friendship Quest with Scar, Buzz apologizes to Ursula and asks the player to accompany him. Afterwards, the player will help Buzz open his own Star Command Academy by crafting Star Command Badges. Players will need 3 Star Command Badges, which will require 3 Iron Ingots, 3 Fabric in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and 3 Blue Ink in total. In addition, each Blue Ink requires 1 Empty Vial, 2 Blue Hydrangeas, and 3 Blueberries to craft.

With the badges complete, the player needs to give one each to Remy, Moana, and Scar. Later, Buzz will ask for help preparing the Star Command Academy Grand Opening. First, the player must craft 20 Asphalt out of 20 Sand, 20 Pebbles, and 20 Coal Ore alongside a Blue and Silver Balloon Arch. The arch needs 10 Iron Ingots, 20 Blue Falling Penstemons, 20 Blue Star Lilies, and 20 Blue Marsh Milkweed. By placing them around Buzz’s RV, Buzz will give the player the Space Ranger Buffet to place and instruct them to put on their Space Ranger Uniform.

Buzz’s Friendship Quest ends with the player taking a photo of the Star Command Academy Grand Opening, ending similarly to Stitch’s Friendship Quest “Making Music.” Then, Buzz will give the player Buzz Lightyear’s Space Pack as a thank-you present. With that, players have completed all of Buzz Lightyear’s Friendship Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
