Did Samsung Just Accidentally Reveal The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra?

Samsung has seemingly, and accidentally, revealed an image of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, confirming it will be available in a bronze color. The Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to be the next major smartphone lineup launched by Samsung, following on from the company’s Galaxy S20 series announced earlier in the year.

Each year Samsung announces the latest additions to its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series of smartphones. The newest member of the former comes through early in the year, while the latter tends to arrive in the second half of each year. While there are typically plenty of leaks that come through in the build up to the next Note phone, such clear images tend to not come directly from Samsung.

The Ukraine version of the Samsung website published an image of an unreleased Samsung phone before taking it down again. While there are no guarantees that this is actually the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, most indiciations do point to that being the case, with the image having since been removed further adding to the suggestion. Besides being an unknown Galaxy phone, the image appeared on the Galaxy Note 8 page and was used to point the viewer to the latest Samsung phablet version, the Galaxy Note 10. Only the image appears to be the very latest version. That is, the one that has yet to be released.

What The Galaxy Note 20 Leak Shows

Did Samsung Just Accidentally Reveal The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra?

Besides providing a good look at the rear of the device and a main camera configuration similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the image does not provide anything too revealing about the next Galaxy Note smartphone. For example, the main takeaway here is the color option which appears to be bronze or copper. As well as the fact that a color-matched S Pen will also come with the phone.

Image aside, the Galaxy Note 20 series is currently expected to be announced sometime in August and similar to the previous Samsung flagship phones launched, the Note 20 is likely to be available in different versions. Of the different models, the Note 20 Ultra is expected to be the largest with a rumored 6.9 inch display, while also rumored to come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, and with 5G support.

Regardless of when the Galaxy Note 20 series is unveiled, it is likely the launch will be an online-only event, considering that has become the new norm following the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent stay-at-home orders. Samsung is unlikely to deviate from that approach, while at the same time, looking to avoid delaying the launch of its next Galaxy Note smartphone.
