Destiny 2: Xur Location and Exotic Items (July 22 – July 26)

Destiny 2: Xur Location and Exotic Items (July 22 – July 26)

Xur can be found at the Watcher’s Grave on Nessus from July 22 to 26 in Destiny 2, and he has several Exotic and Legendary items that are worth checking out before the weekend ends. This week, Xur’s Exotic armor pieces are Knucklehead Radar, Armamentarium, and Starfire Protocol. The vendor of the Nine also has a couple of Legendary Hand Cannons and a few high-stat armor pieces available spread across all three classes.

This week, Xur’s new Hawkmoon and DMT rolls may not be worth the purchase. While the Hawkmoon roll has an incredibly high handling stat, a bit of its natural stability is sacrificed in the exchange. While there isn’t anything bad about the Dead Man’s Tale roll specifically, Guardians should consider holding off on purchasing this one because Xur will eventually have a much better issue. Lastly, Guardians can acquire the Xenology quest from Xur, and complete it before the weekend is over to earn an Exotic Cipher.

This weekend, Xur’s Hawkmoon has Arrowhead Brake, Alloy Magazine, Opening Shot, and Textured Grip.  Xur’s Dead Man’s Tale has Arrowhead Brake, Armor-Piercing Rounds, Fourth Time’s the Charm, and Short-Action Stock. Although this Dead Man’s Tale roll is good for PvE activities in Destiny 2 like GM Nightfalls, the Vorpal Weapon perk is worth the wait.

Destiny 2: Where Is Xur? Exotic Weapons & Armor (July 22 – July 26)

Destiny 2: Xur Location and Exotic Items (July 22 – July 26)
  • The Queenbreaker: Arc Linear Fusion Rifle
  • Knucklehead Radar (Hunter Exotic): 61 stat roll with good Resilience and Strength
  • Armamentarium (Titan Exotic): 67 stat roll with great Resilience and good Discipline
  • Starfire Protocol (Warlock Exotic): 60 stat roll with great Resilience and good Discipline

Guardians who do not have a better roll for each of these Exotic armor pieces should pick these pieces up from Xur. Knucklehead Radar is an excellent PvP Exotic helmet for Hunters who love to have their radar up constantly. While Armamentarium does add an additional grenade charge for Titans, players with a better Heart of Inmost Light Exotic chest piece may find that Exotic more useful over Xur’s. Lastly, the Starfire Protocol chest piece is a crucial component of the best Warlock Solar 3.0 build in Destiny 2, so be sure to buy this chest armor from Xur if it’s a better roll.

Destiny 2: Xur’s Legendary Weapons & Armor (July 22 – July 26)

Destiny 2: Xur's Legendary Weapons & Armor (July 22 - July 26)
  • True Prophecy (Hand Cannon): Kinetic Aggressive Frame, Grave Robber and Demolitionist
  • Nature of the Beast (Hand Cannon): Arc Precision Frame, Snapshot Sights and Rangefinder
  • Vulpecula (Hand Cannon): Stasis Precision Frame, Tunnel Vision and Opening Shot
  • Far Future (Sniper Rifle): Solar Adaptive Frame, Auto-Loading Holster and Demolitionist
  • Sojourner’s Tale (Shotgun): Solar Pinpoint Slug Frame, Rapid Hit and Surrounded
  • Falling Guillotine (Sword): Void Vortex Frame, Tireless Blade and Surrounded
  • Swarm of the Raven (Power Grenade Launcher): Void Rapid-Fire Frame, Auto-Loading Holster and Genesis

Among the Legendary weapons that Xur has for sale, both Nature of the Beast and Falling Guillotine stand out as his best items. The recent changes to the 180 RPM frames benefit both Nature of the Beast and Vulpecula in PvP, and the perk combination for the form is great for such activities in the Crucible. Lastly, for better character stats in Destiny 2, Xur has great leg armor for Warlocks and Titans and a great helmet for Titans and Hunters.

  • Warlock Armor: Gauntlets (61) Chest Armor (60) Helmet (62) Leg Armor (64)
  • Titan Armor: Gauntlets (61) Chest Armor (58) Helmet (67) Leg Armor (62)
  • Hunter Armor: Gauntlets (55) Chest Armor (60) Helmet (66) Leg Armor (59)

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
