The annual Solstice event is officially underway in Destiny 2, and the first activity that players will need to complete is the Celebrating Solstice quest. Every year, the Solstice event features some consistent pieces such as an armor set that can have rerolled stats and an activity that takes place on the EAZ. Some of the new features this year include Event Challenges, multiple quests, and rewards that are all locked behind the initial Celebrating Solstice quest. Those who wish to take advantage of everything that Solstice has to offer will need to begin the quest as soon as possible, as everything will be vaulted in-game until the next Solstice in 2023.
Additionally, those who wish to get and upgrade the Candescent armor set will need to begin the Celebrating Solstice quest as well. Once again, all of the event’s activities and rewards are hosted by Eva Levante, who can be found in the Tower. To begin Celebrating Solstice, speak with her and she’ll give Guardians a full set of Candescent armor. The quest cannot be completed without the full armor set, so be sure to keep it for as long as the event is active. Additionally, players will also need to complete the Celebrating Solstice quest to unlock the other quests, namely A Guardian in Shining Armor and Rekindling the Spark.
To complete the Celebrating Solstice quest, Guardians will also have to get Silver Leaves, Silver Ash, and Kindling during Solstice in Destiny 2. These items are all event currency that can only be obtained during the event as well, and only can be used on the Candescent armor set to upgrade it. Silver Leaves are obtained by completing nearly any activity in the sector while wearing the Candescent armor set, while Silver Ash is obtained by finishing Bonfire Bash and interacting with the bonfire with the armor equipped as well. Kindling can only be obtained by completing event challenges.

- Step 1: Equip a full set of Candescent armor.
- Step 2: Visit Eva Levante in the Tower
- Step 3: Complete the Bonfire Ash activity to transform Silver Leaves into Silver Ash.
- Step 4: Visit Eva Levante in the Tower.
- Step 5: Open the Solstice Event Card and claim the first Event Challenge.
- Step 6: Add the Kindling from completing the Event Challenge to any piece of Candescent armor.
- Step 7: With the Kindling added into the armor, apply the Glowing Embers by using the newly acquired Silver Ash.
- Step 8: Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to finish the quest and receive additional rewards.
