Deathloop: How To Trap Colt As Julianna

Deathloop: How To Trap Colt As Julianna

Trapping Colt as Julianna is a fun, albeit difficult challenge in Deathloop. Colt’s three lives give him the advantage over Julianna players, but careful and quick planning can play into Julianna’s strength. As the only Visionary who is immune to the loop’s repeating cycle, the best thing Julianna can do is predict where Colt might be. She has to pay attention to everything that’s going on in the Blackreef.

Colt can only be invaded a limited number of times per loop, and defeating Julianna replenishes Colt’s Reprise charges. Additionally, Julianna can only invade a district where a Deathloop Visionary is present. Killing Colt in any way possible rewards players with XP that increases their Hunter rank. Hunter ranks reward Julianna players with character and weapon Trinkets, unique weapons, Slabs, Slab upgrades, and skins for both Julianna and Colt.

As a Julianna player, it’s imperative to know where all the Visionaries are located and at which times of the day they can be assassinated. For example, Harriet Morse can only be assassinated in the morning at Karl’s Bay. Colt will likely try to sabotage Egor’s experiment in the morning at The Complex. Frank Spicer is always found at his club in Fristand Rock. Knowing the Visionaries, their locations, and when a Colt player is likely to go after them are all crucial bits of information for Julianna players in Deathloop.

Deathloop: How To Trap Colt As Julianna

Colt’s three lives are problematic for Julianna players, but luckily, any mines and traps not set by Colt aren’t anything that Julianna has to worry about. When Julianna enters a Visionary area, however, she’ll announce her presence to Colt. Additionally, doors will be locked down, preventing Colt’s escape unless he hacks the antenna.

First, players should pay attention to the NPCs alerted to Colt’s presence. They’re going to be the number-one indicator of where he is in the area, and, while he’s distracted, he may be easier to take down. While Julianna can’t be harmed by traps and mines in Deathloop that are set by NPCs, she can still see what has been deactivated or hacked by Colt.

Additionally, if Colt can be killed in the area, Julianna could try setting up a trap or mine by his things. Colt players will more than likely attempt to retrieve their Residuum and can be killed by a mine that they don’t expect to be there because it wasn’t there last time. Lastly, Julianna must pay attention to where the Visionary is located at all times. Colt’s objective is to kill them, so he’ll inevitably be in the same area as the Visionary, giving Julianna an opportunity to strike.

Deathloop is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
